Stop hiring illegals
ValleyNews ^

Posted on 08/05/2005 11:33:10 AM PDT by Happy2BMe

My name is Jason Mrochek and I live in Menifee. The biggest incentive for illegal aliens to come to the United States is to find work. If there are no employers willing to hire the illegal aliens, the flood of illegal aliens will subside.

For too many years, these employees have gotten away with federal crimes. If we are a nation of laws, we MUST expect our citizens to obey them, especially when the consequences of disobeying the laws are so great: increased costs to federal and state social programs that aren’t paid for, increased traffic along with the lost productivity it causes, closed medical facilities, not to mention the perception that you can get away with breaking the law if you come to the United States!

It’s time to start cracking down on these employers. The President needs to publicly announce that he is immediately directing the appropriate agencies to seek out and prosecute the law-breaking employers to the fullest extent of the law.

This means both big and small employers. If the employers of this country see federal agents swooping down to jail a Mom-and-Pop landscaper who employs only three illegal aliens, then any employer with more than three employees knows that he could be a target too, no matter few employees he has.

This has to be done. If it means our agencies need more funding, then so be it. You will find that the American public would gladly sign up for more money being appropriated for enforcement of our immigration laws.

If we don’t start cracking down on these employers, then our country will be seen as nothing more than a hypocritical country that will turn a blind eye to our laws to put money in the pockets of our businessmen.

Bring it on. Lessee if the economy collapses as the illegal alien enablers are prone to howl.

Aside from a drop in Lexus SUV purchases by the small minority of greedbag employers I'd bet the bank the effect is negligable.

And if they aren't using our ER's, classrooms and are paying ALL their taxes, they aren't on welfare.

If we are a nation of laws

We aren't even a "nation" anymore, much less one of laws

Partner I agree, problem is we have too many "profits over security" conservatives who don't give a damn about the law so long as they can hire someone illegally at slave wages and not have to deal with Joe American and his Union wages and benefits.

What it comes down to is they just don't give a flying
F-ck at a rolling donut about border security. GWB is chief among these.

I'll be happy to. In the daily email or the weekly call?

He has been getting nervous lately. Stuff happening near Kirkuk making him a bit jumpy, they lost another guy last week and some wounded.

Political conversations are getting less tenable.

I'd estimate there may be $ 30-50 billion reasons (or more) that would prove that's not exactly true.

But, but, but, but he and the RNC would have to give back all those hundreds of millions of campaign contribution dollars to his big corporate CEO friends who bought him in the first place.

Just to put it into perspective, H2BM:

It may sound pessimistic, even nihilistic, to say "we don't have a nation anymore". But living in California, and seeing what I see everyday, convinces me that it's so. It resembles nothing like the country I grew up in, and the people are literally alien to me.

And it is no longer confined to California, as you know. The other day I had to transit through Houston; all the announcements are done in Spanish and English. It's like sitting through a bad high school spanish class.

As you said about another article the other day, where do I begin? The anecdotes would be endless. The changes that I have seen since 1970 have been unthinkable.

And as far as laws....what laws? Legal immigration is outpaced by illegal immigration 3-1. The scale of lawbreaking is breathtaking: an English writer, speaking of the immigration anarchy in her country, and other anarchies which are now routinely tolerated, called England a "criminal country". It's the same here. The estimate is that something like 10% of the economy is now "underground", either related to illegal aliens, illegal drugs, or just ordinary theft and fraud. The same number in 1960 was probably 2%. Or less.

My feeling is that the elites are cynical about it; they figure, what the hell, just figure out how to take the money and run. Hire a private army to protect yourself later on. Or whatever: institute a police state to prevent the Helots from rioting. They don't care. As long as their lifestyles aren't altered...so what.

In other words, it's almost Mexico. Almost.

We're basically going to have to start over in the U.S. Some things are just too far gone to fix, you have to start over. It's either that or the deterioration into the oligarchic anarcho-state intensifies, and we end up being Mexico.

As far as the people in Iraq, you brought that up. Personally, I don't think you should have, because you are using them to try to pin something on me that has no bearing.

I am merely quoting the author who did not say

"If there is no welfare for the illegal aliens, the flood of illegal aliens will subside."

The author also did not say "If there is tax enforcement on the illegal aliens, the flood of illegal aliens will subside. "

What the author did say was "If there are no employers willing to hire the illegal aliens, the flood of illegal aliens will subside.

And whats more lamenting your loss is NOT allowed, or sure as the sun will rise in the east some sanctimonious twit will come along and admonish you for your 'intolerance', while scarcely noticing their own. Its both sad and funny.

CAFTA was just signed. This eliminates the
argument that huge numbers of immigrant labor
Don't cry about the jobs going South unless
the unemployment rate spikes up above 6%.
Those jobs will keep Central Americans
employed in their home countries.

Does anyone know: If an illegal is caught with an SS card that proves to be bogus, is he held responsible? Or is the company held responsible for not checking its authenticity?
