URGENT MESSAGE TO POPE: ANNUL TERRI SCHIAVO'S WEDDING!!!

Posted on 03/22/2005 4:20:23 AM PST by Arthur Wildfire! March

The Pope can do just about whatever he wants. He can, for example, annul the Schiavo wedding. Then the legal credibility that Michael's been clinging to is gone.

THOSE WHO SPEAK OUT ABOUT MICHAEL SCHIAVO [FR Link page]

Broken bones, signs of strangulation, No CPR administered, the cremation outrage, and recent, hot: ACCIDENTAL CONFESSION ON LARRY KING?....And many quotes with info I was not aware of have been pasted there.

Well, at least MS hasn't taken away Terri's humanity, by
putting underwear on her head. /scathing sarcasm.

I'm no lawyer. Maybe it's not the 'silver bullet'-- BUT...

It does no harm to annul and excommunicate. It only helps. It sheds light. It's leverage-- at the very least!

Legally, an annulment is the same as a divorce. But I think that's a real long-shot and unlikely to happen.

And the grounds for an annulment are extremely limited.

The Pope can make the rules, regarding annulment/excommunication. AND, to bypass the political creatures in the vatican, I'm thinking that the Polish Embassy to the Vatican may perhaps have direct communication methods with the Pope.

Also, MEL GIBSON.

The real problem with annulment is that many cardinals are flaming leftists and-- many other cardinals are poll-shy. They would read the recent polling data and not want the Pope to intervene.

This whole thing is just so disgusting.
What makes me so mad, is why can the Democrates get Elian Gonzales out of the country and sent to Cuba at gun point. Reno incinerated 150 children in Waco. And yet the Republicans we voted into office can't stop the Government from murdering an innocent woman! What the heck is wrong with this picture. Why vote?

Off the top of my head here [not a lawyer either...]

Does legal marriage takes a back seat to 'freedom of religion'? Does an annulment lead to legal submission of the religion? Just a thought.

If an annulled spouse cannot speak consciously at the moment, this could open an entirely new case, and efforts to enable her speech could be required, right? Or it's witness tampering?

Why couldn't some doctor go in there and re-insert the feeding tube... Then after the courts confict him the pres can pardon him.

If we had the time to inform the public [two election cycles], we could simply have both these judges impeached. Why? Allowing possible cruel and unusual death of a US citizen. How? Through raw voting power. "How can we avoid future impeachments?"

Very simple: While you deliberate, make darn sure no one is thirsty!

And guess what? I want that process to go foward regardless of the outcome. Too much potential inhumanity already before potential witnesses or evidence had a chance to be brought forward.

FReegards....

"Why couldn't some doctor go in there and re-insert the feeding tube... Then after the courts confict him the pres can pardon him."

Good idea! Both the President and the Governor have that power. They "aren't supposed" to do this, but it is within their power: they can PROMISE a pardon, at least in this particular instance.

Keep thinking. You're good at it!

In the first place, the matter has already been decided: the federal court has ruled Florida has virtually bent over backwards to protect this woman's rights.

Secondly, have any of you even considered the possibility the victim's family had something other than pure motives? How about lucrative gardianship/administrative fees if they could persuade the courts to make them Terri's legal guardians ?

Terri alive = potential guardianship fees; Terri dead = zero.

I mention this because we have been inundated with stories of abuse, etc.-all of which seem to have common origins. How much of this is blatant manipulation ?

The guy has absolutely nothing to do with the laws in this country. He has no power to change the situation. And only those who are Catholic are going to pay much attention to what he has to say. We could also get Jesse Jackson, the dali lama, the rabbis in Israel, etc to all say something, but that won't affect things either.
