Today I got rather bored. So, I decided to try and register on a Liberal site just for fun to debate some of these loonies, and what I found was extremley shocking. When I finally got registered onto liberalforum.org I found myself having anything but fun. As a matter of fact, I am saddened that their are types of people like these out their. What I found were people who were anything but proud of America. As a matter of fact, most of them said that they would rather have a communist country, or socialist country, than a democracy in America.
Upon the entry of liberalforum.org (after I was logged in), I found the following notice:
Conservatives, Libertarians, and everyone uncomfortable with the label "Liberal" for themselves are requested to email info@liberalforum.org with their username so we can change their member status from 'member' to 'non-Liberal.'
If you see a non-Liberal poster who is posting in the Liberals Only Area or who is posting in the appropriate Debate section yet their Group descriptor is still "member" - please email info@liberalforum.org with their username so I can change their member status.
Members of the Liberal Forum have posting rights in the Liberals Only Area, whereas non-Liberals are locked out. Members also may receive a Liberal Forum newsletter or announcements from time to time that non-Liberals will not receive.

So their is your proof first of all, that liberals are unwilling to accept any points of view but their own. But, thats not even the worst of it. As I said before I found extreme anti-americanism shown by many of the members. Here are some of the quotes I found:

Their were many screen names on their pertaining to the support of socialism and communism almost everywhere I looked, and I found all this the first 3 minutes I was on this website!
For some of you, this sort of CRAP may not be such a surprise, but it is certainley shocking. It is very shocking to me also that these people would dare accept their name as "liberals", expecially since most of their views represent anything but liberty.
Such brazen deception. That they can live with it, excuse it, and be so proud of it, is just sickening.
There is no talking sense to these people. They have been fed at the table of socialism and have drank and ate heartily at it. Resurgitation is the only think that could help them but all we get from them is constant belching and backfiring, all with no substance.
I used to belong to a cycling site and it was full of these guys. They had no clue about the free market, yet they said they hated it. I used to have to constantly inform them about how money and the market worked. It was like teaching my 7 year old. I used to argue and argue, set straight and set straight, until I said screw it. Now I just ride my bike and don't talk about it.
There you will find liberals who are cream of the crop. Intelligent, witty, charming, gentleman like...

I've been posting some on an art forum called wetcanvas.com
As you can imagine, alot of these artists consider themselves liberal.
However, I have found that, even so, many of them think that a liberal is a believer in individual freedom, etc.
In that case, however, there is no reason why a liberal would not vote for Bush, since, clearly, voting left, as liberals do, is certain to have an adverse effect on individual freedom.
OTOH, I've come to the conclusion that "liberals" don't really have any political principals at all, although leftists certainly do.

It sounds this person is defining what a REPUBLIC is, not what Communism is! And guess what...we are a republic already!
You know I remember that segment...this ought to be thrown in with the current "Memogate" controversy as another instance in which "Queekstraw" Rather, in his liberal drooling eagerness, had jumped the gun in not properly vetting his sources!

I've been dealing with a message board forum like what you described with favorable results--except that as I'm so outnumbered it is tiresome and I can be barraged with nonsense posts in a war of attrition. The site is based in the Netherlands...
Dude, you're right on! I have only one comment. People are NOT supposed to have an "open mind". That was a fascist/communist word manipulation foistered on us back in the 60's. You see, when you have an "open mind", that means any kind of crap can be poured into it. We are supposed to have a "discerning" mind, where we evaluate information.
I do hate to admit it, but I watched Bush on television, before 9/11, in response to a reporter asking about some kind of congressional bill he wanted to get passed, say something very close to "My job would sure be a lot easier if I was a dictator." That was certainly not a very good joke to make, but it did happen. Sorry, I don't know the exact quote word for word.
Communism, Liberalism, Progressivism, Leftism, etc., is a significant and delusional disease that afflicts most people who are at a pathetic place in life...the rest have no excuses and are traitors to our Republic. I have very little compassion for their plight. The diseased should be given options of rehabilitation or be institutionalized. The others need to be tried for a conspiracy against America and dealt with accordingly.
We ALMOST have the right to way whatever we want. But did you know, a LIE is NOT protected speech under the Constitution? An opinion is, but that is different. It has to be stated that it is an opinion. Dan Rather stated it as an "un-empeachable" fact. We are not protected when we call or inspire or provoke violence. We can not yell Fire in a crowded theater. In fact, during a time of war, declared or simply acted upon, we can not even legally say anything to aid an enemy. It is called Sedition.
I forgot about the yelling "fire" in a theater. Rather, and everyone involved needs to face criminal charges. It's not like it can't be proven that they conspired to present these documents as legit, knowing full well that they were phoney.
What you found has become known as Subliberalism. Their ideology reminds me of Stalinism. The days of finding a true liberal to debate in a fair exchange is gone forever...
The electorial college resides to count the votes in a selective state. If the majority of the people in a state vote one way, then so does those electorial college votes.
Dude, if we didn't have the freedom brought forth by our government you wouldn't have the right to say what your saying on here. The fact that you question our democracy, the same democracy that our troops are dying for in the war on terror, disqusts me.
Yes, our government has its flaws just like everything created by man does. However, we are so amazingly blessed to be in this beautiful country and if you don't like it move to France. Liberals seem to love that country.
Should be a fun website. I wish that their was some meaning to that title though. I wish all democrats lived underground ;-).
