Well I just had 7 units of heroin stolen from my stash by the local dealer and his pack of thugs.

Let me know if you plan to sign up - this is pretty damn funny.

...but they do refuse, leading to a gang war that leaves some of Santana's men literally drown in their own dope.

JD is the first of Santana's close confidants to get out of prison, and he first sees the possibility of using La Cliqua's prison power to dominate the drug trade on the outside.  Santana is initially willing to go along.  When he finally gets released, Santana immediately takes on the role of drug kingpin.  This involves squeezing out the Italian mafia that still controls the drug trade.  Gradually, however, Santana begins to have second thoughts.

Though he finds that he is widely feared and respected on the outside, he's also concerned about the effects of the gang and drug culture on his friends, family, and neighbors.  He particularly seems concerned about how pervasive it has become among the kids in the neighborhood.  Just as importantly, he begins a romance with Julie (Evelina Fernández), a woman from his circle of friends.  Julie likes Santana for the shy kid inside, not for his tough exterior.  This is a first for Santana, and it softens him.  He also has a heart-to-heart with his father, who admits to his mixed feelings about his son, who was, he now learns, conceived through the rape of his mother during the riots in 1943.  Does Santana take away the lesson that hatred breeds hatred?  Olmos plays Santana too close to the vest here; this revelation should have had a greater impact.

With the passing of Bill 420 Marijuana is now legalized! Uncle Sam is now selling it on every street corner. As prices fall, dealers are moving on to other, more profitable drugs. God Bless America!

Friday January 3 11:41 PM EST
The latest war on drugs slogan is out, and it reads "Don't do drugs...please?". It seems even begging kids to stop taking drugs doesn't work, as reports show drug use rising strongly. Gangs are making millions as prices continue upwards!

Friday January 3 10:10 PM EST
PCP is making a comeback. "SuperKools" are all the rage in public schools. In response English teachers nationwide have gotten tough by demanding kids refer to these new cigarettes as the grammatically correct "SuperCools."

Friday January 3 10:07 PM EST
It has been reported that Canada, in an endorsement of hemp products has replaced the maple leaf on their nation's flag with a marijuana leaf. Canadians everywhere, in a patriotic show of support, have taken up smoking marijuana in massive numbers. As the demand for this most sublime product increases, so do prices!

You see, drugs aren't actually being sold. However, it is a virtual gangster application that is pretty ingenious and addictive.
