It's funny how a supposedly anti-WOD person succumbs to the same propoganda that they claim to despise.
Pure pharmaceutical grade heroin (methylmorphine) given in quantities sufficient to produce anesthesia, sedation, and euphoria is widely regarded in the medical community as the safest drug known to mainkind when given in sub-respiratory depressing doses.
A glass of wine dose more physicolgical damage that does 10mg of methylmorphine. A joint of Marijuana does more harm to the lungs and esophogaus than does a dose of well-regulated pharm grade heroin (as is given to addicts England). Heroin is indeed phycially addicitive, although the withdrawal is much shorter in duration than that seen with nicotine. There are 105 year old chinese people who have been using opium for 80 years, with no ill effects. Long-term addiction does not present as a true medical problem. They used to sell opium in grocery stores until the early 1900's, and some of our most revered forefathers were well known opium addicts.
The problem in the US is do to the aldulterants and varying quality of street heroin due to it's illegality.
Marijuana users villify heroin, like beer and nicotine users villify pot smokers.
It's amusing. It's always the other guy who is using the "wrong stuff".
It's blatantly obviously that the WOD does indeed focus more on heroin than marijuana, and that is reflected in law and sentences. What you're really saying is ignore marijuanna.
My dad was a pot head. One day while he and his stoner buddies were out at Gunn Lake getting high, he decided to dive off the pier into the water. The water was only 3 feet deep, and his head hit bottom. His neck was broken and he spent 9 years as a quadriplegic, spaced out on angel dust and Jack Daniels, prank calling my mom and me, before finally committing suicide when I was 20.
Not that there's anything wrong with that!
