In August, 1959, our family of five visited Disneyland. As we rode home in our ‘58 Edsel Villager station wagon, my father complained that the visit had busted our budget. Admission and ride tickets, food and parking added up to a whopping $30.00!
That would be almost $300 in today’s money. Still a bargain by today’s standards but not as cheap as you make it sound.
well if that were 1 and 1/2 $20 gold eagles that would equal $2700 in todays money
