Former Ohio Gov. John Kasich (R) told CNN Friday that President Trump should be impeached after acting Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney said the Trump administration had frozen military aid as leverage to get Ukraine to investigate a conspiracy theory about a DNC server.
"To me, it's totally inappropriate. It's an abuse of power. Now I know that there are presidents that will withhold aid because they have policy differences, but this is not a policy difference. So my view is that — look, I fought with people on the air about 'Is there a quid pro quo?' and 'Does this rise to the level of impeachment?' I now believe that it does. I say it with great sadness. This is not something I really wanted to do."
The big picture: Kasich has long been a political opponent of Trump — despite his prior hesitancy to call for the president's impeachment — and said he was "very seriously" considering a 2020 primary challenge as recently as last year.

The Obama admin (specifically, Joe Biden) threatened to withhold U.S. aid to Ukraine if the prosecutor tasked with investigating the corrupt, oligarch-owned company (Burisma) where Hunter Biden sat on the board wasn’t immediately fired. He WAS promptly fired, after which Joe BRAGGED about his own role in the firing. On camera. And he specifically mentioned that he had used U.S. aid as a threat. Any word from Kasich or any of the other NeverTrumpers about this? Nope.
It might be fun if someone did a deep investigation into the orgy club of Kasich, Scarborough, and Condit. Maybe if that were to happen at least Kasich and Scarborough might zip it. The death of two girls connected with those guys could be interesting.

At one time during the 2016 election, Kasich was Trump’s primary opponent. He was getting glowing press (of course) and seemed to relish every minute of it. His fall has been forgotten by everyone but him.

Why do people persist is listening to losers like this? Wasn't he last in the GOP primary race when Trump won?
He will not endear himself to Republicans taking positions that are in sync with the liberal democRATS against his own party's president.
It's like asking a filthy, threadbare, shabbily dressed homeless person what kind of tuxedo you should wear to your wedding. Not exactly an intellect when it comes to fashion or clothes. Or in his case, opinions on impeachment of the president.
He should follow in his dad's footsteps and become a postman for the duration of his life. Or maybe a dog catcher.
This is Kasich trying to be relevant again because he isn't anymore.
