If anything he should be charged for the attempt to locate and rescue him.
Take that money and give it to the family of the dead soldiers families and the wounded who went looking for him. Also it is Pvt (E-1) Bergdahl.
He wasn’t captured. He deserted. Are these people that stupid?
Dems could run him for president in a few years. If he is a convert he’s fully qualified as it will compensate for him being white.

1. Determination by Court-Martial. A member found guilty of unauthorized absence by a court-martial forfeits pay and allowances for the period of absence. An acquittal (or disapproval by the reviewing authority, in case of conviction) affects only the disciplinary aspects of the absence. It does not prevent an administrative determination that the member was absent without leave.
The whole Bergdahl saga is just sick. What has happened to the morals/intergrity/character of our citizenry??? How could ANYONE consider this to be right???
All of his captivity should be considered “bad time” - AWOL/Desertion with no pay due; however, I’m sure that the residue of His Arrogance residing in the Pentagon will find away around the law.
