The Politico ^ | December 13, 2016 | Kyle Cheney

Larry Lessig, a Harvard University constitutional law professor who made a brief run for the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination, claimed Tuesday that 20 Republican members of the Electoral College are considering voting against Donald Trump, a figure that would put anti-Trump activists more than halfway toward stalling Trump’s election.

Lessig’s anti-Trump group, “Electors Trust,” has been offering pro bono legal counsel to Republican presidential electors considering ditching Trump and has been acting as a clearinghouse for electors to privately communicate their intentions....

This is just nonsense. No one is going to switch their vote.

Well, who chose these potential faithless electors?

The various state Republican party officials. Establishment Republicans in some instances. So, it's entirely possible for a few anti-Trump ringers to have gotten in. Enough to throw the election? I don't think so and certainly hope not. The whole thing is very disturbing, though. Need to root these assholes out before they cast votes, in my opinion, and replace them with individuals who will vote as their states voted.

Have any of these left wing radical clowns ever been right with their predictions so far?

So far they have been 100% wrong with this election season, why would they be right about this?

Yes—traitorous and seditious. This whole discussion about faithless electors is just disgusting. I hope when this is all over that Trump’s administration looks into election law reform...Like national voter ID. I also hope that the so-called Republican statehouses across the nation get their state laws more robust. I also hope that the media just collapses into itself like a big black hole never to see the light of day again. /rant

I bet the professor predicted Hillary would win with 350+ electoral votes.

WF Buckley once said he would rather be governed by the first 100 names in the Cambridge, MA phone directory than the faculty of the Harvard Law School. This clown proves it; 20 electors, name one, Mr. Lessig.

You don't want to be governed by *anybody* from Cambridge. It's the People's Republic of Cambridge.

They are trying to organize a coup d’état. It won’t work.

If rogue elements of CIA are involved, they would need to remember that they are only a part of a larger whole.

We’ve known one Trump elector who plans to vote for someone else and have for weeks, he’s from Texas.

Why Texas hasn’t removed the guy and replaced him with an alternate who will vote as his state voted is beyond me.

What if some elector tries to flip and to do so violates the law passed by the state’s legislature establishing the electors and their districts?

oTrump might end up short on electorals come dec 19!

Why do you say this? I have wondered why the Trump team has said nothing about the intimidation of the Electors,

It really doesn’t matter if there are a few “faithless” electors. They vote on Dec. 19th then the House has to accept their vote on Jan. 3rd. If there is any issue, I don’t think the House will want to create a Constitutional Crisis.

As long as it’s just a few. I do not trust the GOP to put trump in if he fall short of electors.

It is beyond me to believe the American people would tolerate such behavior. I think at its heart this is an effort to destroy the electoral college.
