The net result to this is, at a minimum, highly cultivated Humint assets must be replaced since there are no guarantees that their cover hasn’t been blown resulting in loss of intelligence gathering on the ground for a country sorely lacking in Humint since we predominately use technology such as intercepts and satellite immigery. Maximum damage? People die or are turned. Nothing positive in this story unless it’s just one more nail in Mre Clinton’s coffin.

What he was accused of doing was also nothing since it was actually Richard Armitage who “outed” Plame and she was not covered by the Intelligence Identities Protection Act.
Both things Patrick Fitzgerald knew before he even began his investigation (or he’s a blazing idiot) and he should be in prison for taking the prosecution of Libby forward knowing those things.
And Libby wasn’t prosecuted for outing Plame anyway.
