The flag graphic needs to correct its math. 1865-1786 = 79, not 76.
However another way to do the math is that under the U.S. federal flag slavery was legal about 34 percent of the time, under the CSA flag, it was legal 100 percent of the time.
That said, I support Mississippi keeping its flag. Mostly because I loathe the Leftists who say they can’t have it.

Still another way to look at it: under the first four years of the CSA, slavery was legal 100 percent of the time. Under the first 79 years of the federal flag, slavery was legal 100 percent of the time. Prior to either flag, slavery had been legal for about 6,000 years.
Where you stand sometimes depends on where you sit.
