I'm always amused by the southern position that they could claim the protection of the Constitution while simultaneously repudiating it.

And I'm always amused by the lincoln/yankee apologists. Do you also defend 0bama's Constitutional violations?

The home page of FR has a quote from the Declaration of Independence, part of which is:

"That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness."

What part of the above do you disagree with? Is it your yankee opinion that governments control The People and not that they govern by the consent of The People?

Amazing that after all these years you're still clinging to the same pathetic ideology of oppressive central government statism.

The war between the Southern States and the US Federal Government was a political war. The battle was between State Rights/Sovereignty and Statism. The Statist won.

The reason why we never hear you or your pathetic polemic posse complain about 0bama is because you are happy about the present situation.

How many of "the People" of the United States are required to alter or abolish the government? Can an individual declare himself to be another country? What about a city block? A county? Is it only states? What about the fact that some counties have populations and areas larger than some states?
