Sounds like its racism. Southern racism.
Why else oppose unionization?
They are counting on hispanic voters to help them take the south.
It's my read that the "Hispanics" here who became American citizens are going to vote for whomever promises them the most dinero and then they'll send their Yankee dollars south to help their families. Mexico counts on them.
I read once that the Yankee dollars going south are in the billions over the years from those Hispanics who aren't going to be Americans but will work here because they can make mucho dinero. I guess it beats starving.
A Mexican working on fruit and vegetable harvesting can work HERE for three months and live off of those earnings for the other nine months south of the border.
They won't unionize because there is nothing in it for them. They won't give up their Mexican citizenship because they don't want to immigrate here. Their life is down there. They are only here for the work.
