None of them are named after their father. Not their first, middle or last name. Yet Barry is named “Barack Hussein Obama” just like his runaway deadbeat dad who only saw once in his entire life.

We don't know when Barack Sr. actually left, and it can take some time before both parties realize -- or admit -- a relationship is actually over.
According to one story, it was SADO, the mother, who left for Washington state while Barack Sr. stayed in Hawaii. Obama-Dunham family relations are that murky.
I guess we can assume with some likelihood that Obama Sr. only saw his son the once in their lives, but what he actually know is that Obama only saw his father once (that he could remember). That's also not 100% clear.
If there could have been some doubt the child was legitimate, though, naming him after the presumed father wouldn't have been an unusual or inexplicable move. It would also make Jr. exotic and not just another American negro or half-caste.

He is NOT named after his deadbeat alleged father. If he were he would be named Barack Hussein Obama Jr.
Obama says his name is Barack Hussein Obama II. The appendage 'II' is used when a child is named after someone who is not the father. That other person might be an uncle or a grandfather and the II was used to discriminate between the two.
Now it is possible that the mother, vulgarian that she was, thought II sounded classier than junior.
