My suspicion is that Jeff works in politics on our side. He's either out of some elected Representative's office, or perhaps the RNC or some related group.

His postings on other issues are too reliably conservative to discredit him as a liberal agent provocateur, but there are those in the establishment on our side who hate this issue as much or more than do the Democrats. Jeff pursues it like a job, so i'm suspecting it may very well be.

I’ve found that if somebody is willfully blind on this issue I can’t stand to listen to them on any issue. They’ve destroyed their own credibility. So when I see a post by him, or others like him, I pretty much just scroll past it in other contexts.
