Then you said it for me because I never said it. I could but I owe them NO explanation. They are the ones that need to explain, IMO. But, personally, I could care less what any of them do. I’m only responsible for what I do.

I swear, it's absolutely maddening, much of the time:

THEM: "Your vote is absolutely essential! VOTE ROMNEY!!!"

YOU (patiently): "I live in a state so monochromatically and unyieldingly Deep Blue, it hasn't gone the other way since KC and the Sunshine Band. My vote, therefore, is absolutely free to be cast as a protest, if I so wish, and -- "

THEM (louder): "Don't you love America? Do you actually WANT to see Obama get another four years in office? VOTE ROMNEY!!!"

YOU (sighing, inwardly): "I really don't think you were quite listening, just then. The only way my state could ever conceivably end up NOT going to Obama, come November, would be in the event of a massive and catastrophic meteor strike. It -- "

THEM (shrieking insanely, now): "VOTE ROMNEY!!! VOTE ROMNEY!!! VOTEROMNEYVOTEROMNEYVOTEROMNEEEEEEEEEE -- !!!"

... at which point, I generally have to start actively pushing away all thoughts of bell towers, and innocent passers-by below. ;)
