Those who can put aside their conservative principles momentarily to vote for the lesser evil should go ahead and do so. It would be a tremendous boost to the grassroots to derail Obama, but doubt the father of RomneyCARE will be much better.

Jim, I share your "doubts" about Romney. His past record of liberalism followed by his so-called late conversion to conservatism makes him an uncertain, unreliable and unlikely conservative.

But I also know that when it comes to conservatism, the Marxist is an absolute Zero. There is Zero chance he will do anything conservative.

Come election day, if there is no likely alternative, I will go with the one who might be (although unlikely) a conservative president over the one who will always be a Marxist president.

And I would do so not "putting aside" my conservative priciples, but instead trying to meet my conservative principles, for my family, for my country and for future generations yet to be born.

Amen - most beautifully said. It's not conservatism to pretend that the best answer to a horrible choice is the fantasy alternative. Bless you and all with strong enough principles to think and act like you.

Well said; I agree.

***no, it’s pretty clear that to vote for a lying, baby-killing statist you’re putting aside your conservative principles. You can varnish it up to look all pretty, but it’s still a turd. To call it “meeting your principles” is to engage in simple bull shiite for reasoning.

Well stated! I and millions more will do the very same and hopefully live to fight another day!
