Dr. Laura: "If Hillary ran, I would have to run against her,"

Dr. Laura Considers Presidential Run

NewsMax
Monday, June 3, 2002

Dr. Laura Schlessinger says she may just run for president.

In a NewsMax magazine story cover hitting newsstands this week, America's most popular female talk radio host says she might seriously consider a run for president if Hillary Clinton decides to do so.

"If Hillary ran, I would have to run against her," Dr. Laura told NewsMax magazine in a recent interview now appearing in the June issue.

She described Mrs. Clinton and her husband as being "perverse, disturbed and destructive … and immoral."

In the same no-holds-barred, hard-hitting style she displays on her "Dr. Laura Schlessinger Program" – now heard on over 400 stations nationwide, with an estimated 15 million listeners each week – Dr. Laura said she was worried Mrs. Clinton would be considered a role model for young women.

"That would be horrifying," she said of a Hillary presidential bid.

"Everything I've read about her … the book the FBI guy who was in the White House, Gary Aldrich – I mean, you read that book and you realize the two of them are perverse, disturbed and destructive. And immoral. And legalities mean nothing to them. This is not a role model. But this is what happens when you have such ferocious bias in the media and only one picture is painted. It's scary. If Hillary runs, I'm going to feel a need to run against her. "

Other points Dr. Laura made in a wide-ranging interview:

On sex education: "In public school systems across the country, they're indoctrinating kids to be 'sexual' under the guise of protecting them, when you know that's not true. I think it is indoctrination for left-wing agendas."

On feminism: "The bulk has been destructive. I'm ashamed of it. And I was in the midst of it in the sixties, but I'm thoroughly ashamed of it. ... It's been very anti-man, anti-marriage, anti-family, anti-child rearing. I think that's been very destructive. All you have to do is look at the last two generations of our children, and that's your answer."

On gutless leaders: "I'm tired of the 'can't win against evil' way. I'm sorry, you cannot. They'll run you over. So that is my one big passion. "Ten Stupid Things People Do to Let Evil Win." That will be my next passion book. I am angry.

On public schools: "I'm sure there are isolated exceptions, but by and large, the public schools are dangerous. … In a language arts class in Michigan, they gave a writing assignment. Students were supposed to answer the whole thing. All the parts. In great detail. Questions like 'What do your mother and father argue about? What happens when they argue? Who behaves badly toward you? Would you say your family is dysfunctional?' This was the most insane thing that I had seen. This is a national program ... these things are happening in schools all over the place. It's like Nazi Germany – going through the children to separate them from their parents. I find this horrifying.

On her short-lived TV show: "My regret about the whole television show industry is that those venues which espouse the same virtues [as she does] did not have the courage or the energy to stand up with me. That's my regret. The little secret calls from well-known people saying, "We really back you" and "We're so glad you have the guts to do this." All the way up through senators. Christian groups. Jewish groups. Nobody else wanted to get hit by it. So here I was, Gen. McArthur. I had my pipe. I turned around and nobody was there. With a few minor exceptions, like Michael Medved."

Dr Laura is a hypocrite. She talked for so long on immorality, and then her nude photos with a married man came out.

It is good she does not like Hillary though, but Hillary is going to run in 2008, and Hillary already has 200 electoral votes with New York, California, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Maryland, Delaware, Rhode Island, New Jersey, safely in her column before she even starts her campaign. 20 million new liberal immigrant voters, plus another 10 million public school kids raised on zero-tolerance rules will get her lots more votes than Gore got. If amnesty is granted to Mexican illegals, she can get another extra 5 million votes.

If she makes Judge Judy, her running mate, or Attorney General, I vote for her! I may not like the how this administration may go, but it will be entertaining!

(How about JJ being an Sec of State, telling off Arafat, or Saddam?)

OK, so anyone who ever did anything wrong, even if they later repent, must forever be silent on moral issues.

Does this sound as idiotic to you as it does to me?

Dr. Laura is not a hypocrite. You are only a hypocrite when you say one thing but do another at the same time. She made some mistakes when she was younger, and unlike many people she has learned from those earlier mistakes.

I understand EXACTLY how Dr. Laura feels about hitlery running. I feel the same way, without the celebrity attached to my name. Hillary is perverse, she is immoral, she may very well be a sociopath (could YOU stay inside a car you are riding as a passenger if said car HIT and HURT a guard stationed at an airport and NOT get out to see if man was ok? She did. She stayed in the car. And she never inquired after the man, even as he was hospitalized.) She was late for a fundraiser. We don't need a woman running our nation who RUNS OVER little people, or ruins their reputations, as in the case of Billy Dale, in order to open a job slot. She is vicious, greedy, crazy, robot-like and I would venture, insane.

She described Mrs. Clinton and her husband as being "perverse, disturbed and destructive … and immoral."

From her own description it sounds like Dr. Laura and Hillary are two peas in a pod.

Check the dictionary for the dictionary for the word hypocrite. You are mistaken as to its meaning.
