I MARCHED WITH THE MORONS!

Yes, I Michael Graham was at the "Kill The Jews!" Rally in Washington, DC on Saturday. It was an amazing experience to speak directly to the protesters and hear them share, in their own, words, the fact that they are complete and utter dolts.

YASSER ARAFAT, THE MARTIN LUTHER KING OF 2002: I went to the Saturday protest looking for opportunities to challenge the thinking (or lack thereof) of the defenders of murder bombers. I didn't want to be another obvious, obnoxious screamer, so I came up with this plan:

Thanks to the folks at FreeRepublic.com who held a counter-protest, I was able to make my own sign and join the pro-Palestinian protesters. The sign read as follows:

"HEROES FOR PEACE: Gandhi, MLK, Arafat."

I walked through the entire crowd of an estimated 50,000 supporters of "peace." I walked intentionally into groups of black protestors and the one group of pseudo-Hindus I could find. I shook the sign in the faces of the most obnoxious peaceniks gathered there. And what was the response?

"God bless you." One woman pointed out the sign to a friend and then offered me her blessings as I walked by.

Nobody got it. Nobody! The Palestians and their supporters thought the sign was real. These believers in "peace" saw me compare the non-violence and courage of Gandhi and King to the murderous cowardice of Yassir Arafat...and not one had the ability to see the difference. If they saw the difference, they didn't have the decency to confront me.

After 30 minutes of working the entire rally end to end, with frequent stops in high-profile places, I turned to leave. Just before I hit the street, a black gentleman with a video camera stopped and asked very politely if I would answer a question on tape about my message. When he turned the camera on, I immediately challenged him "Why are you asking about MY sign, and not everyone else's? Do you have a problem with what I'm saying?"

I was all but praying that this clearly intelligent and politically engaged man would confront me or at least contradict me. I sensed that he rejected the argument I was offering and I was trying to get him to say so.

But he wouldn't. "I'm not saying you're wrong," he kept telling me as I feigned a defense of the indefensible. "I know alot of people feel that way."

"Don't you feel that way?" I demanded, practically screaming at him that he should say "no." He just walked away. "Man, this is over," he replied, and turned off the video camera.

If only he had done what I believe he wanted to do and articulated why it was a grievous insult to compare Arafat to Gandhi and Dr. King. But once he had made that point, he would have faced the real question:

What was he doing at that rally?

Friday was a sad day for Charleston as we said good-bye to talk radio personality, Michael Graham. Michael leaves us for the greener pastures of DC's WTNT.

I think he's registered here so I emailed and urged him to start Freeping more. The above stunt is relatively tame for Michael. I'm sure he and the DC chapter would be a great team. I hope y'all will look after him so he won't be too homesick for beautiful, friendly Charleston!

I saw Michael Graham and his sign. He, along with his sign and tape recorder stopped by the tent. He was trying to tape statements by the anti-America crowd to use on the air. He's a great talk show host and has been on WTNT for awhile now. He gave me a business card which I passed along to Angelwood to keep in mind for future events. She said he could speak at the Rally, but I couldn't find him to tell him. WTNT broadcasts on the net, but I can't get it to work.

I hope I can get WTNT to work. I didn't get to listen to his show as much locally when they stopped broadcasting on the net.

Michael's very entertaining. He's not afraid to infuriate people. He's very conservative but will hammer Republicans when they deserve it.

Hmmmm? He sounds a lot like Roger Hedgecock. Boy, when Roger gets on a roll, he's a terror. He will confront anyone, anywhere, anytime. He's such an instigator - but a great guy. He used to be the Mayor of San Diego - he calls himself a recovering politician.

What a great message his sign had! It is no surprise to me that most of the Peaceniks didn't get it. They probably do think Arafat is on the same level as MLK and Ghandi since they do not think for themselves.
We had a full paid ad in our local paper from the peaceniks today stating of course, that Israel and the US were wrong, and it is our policies that caused 911 and the Homicide bombers.

Y'know if I saw someone carrying a sign that confused Arafat with King and Gandhi, I'd probably not argue with him or contradict him to his face. I'd figure that anyone who idolizes Arafat is likely to be a crazy and very violent s.o.b.

Well, Kansas City had a little (ahem) "peace rally" as well. As I drove past the small group of protesters I saw 2 sings held by Palestinian children that had Sharon drawn like the devil and the other said that the (paraphrase) "Greedy Money Loving Jews are killing Christians like they killed your Jesus". It was sickening.

I think we're better off without him. He pushes the right buttons on those in authority that need it, but he also insults Southerners for being Southerners all of the time. He did it so much I thought he was a Yankee (he's not). He was anti everything about the Confederate flag issue. He's a big supporter and friend of Bill Maher. I believe he calls himself an Independent, but his views take plenty of left turns.

He obviously was seduced by the dark side when he appeared on creepy Bill Maher's show. Then he rips to shreds that poor old coot, Maurice Bessinger for his support of the Confederate Cause.

I believe Michael supported flying the flag at the Confederate memorial on the state house grounds. He didn't think it belonged on top of the state house dome.

Hi, this is Michael Graham! Thanks so much for posting this from my website. I'm always flattered to hear from my Freeper friends.

And, yes, I am proud to count Bill Maher as a friend. I'm always glad to appear on his show as the Conservative Red Meat to be tossed to the Hollywood lefties.

However, I must correct the posting alleging I call myself an Independent. That is absolutely not true. I spent six years as a Republican political consultant, I was Pat Buchanan's S.C. coordinator in 1992 and I am proud of being considered a member of the Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy by people like Alan Dershowitz (whom I have interviewed).

The fact that I am not a Confederista (I happen to support the US Constitution. Jeff Davis didn't) sometimes throws the racist-Right Republicans off. They assume that any white Southerner who doesn't hate black people must be a liberal.

They are, of course, completely wrong.
