McVEIGH'S LINK TO IRAQ: NOT JUST ANOTHER CLINTON COVER-UP
Ether Zone ^ | 4/12/02 | Carol Devine-Molin

I don’t have a predilection toward believing conspiracy theories. In fact, whenever I hear one, I inevitably wince, and think, "Here we go again, another loony with a crazed notion". For me, conspiracies represent the hobgoblins of a paranoid mind. Talk of the Trilateral Commission, Council on Foreign Relations, and the Bilderbergs fails to intrigue me on any level.

Hhhmmmmm. Let me think a little more. Well, OK, maybe I’m being a little overbearing, and a bit self-righteous. I’ll admit to one, and only one, conspiracy that I have ever embraced. I truly believe that the Italian Mafia killed JFK. So there, I said it. And I don’t need an old British documentary from the Hitler Channel, oops I mean the History Channel, to convince me of that. I’m not buying that Lee Harvey Oswald conducted the murder of an American president all by his lonesome. Let the good work, the painstaking detail, of author Gerald Posner be damned! The Mafia had the motive, means and opportunity to carry out the "hit". And they were the only ones with the Chutzpah (not the first word I had in mind, but close enough) to do it. OK, so now you’re thinking that I’ve seen one too many episodes of the "Sopranos".

Which brings me to the dastardly alliance that reportedly transpired between McVeigh/Nichols and the Iraqis, a story that has been making the rounds for the past few years. Of course, given my nature, I took it with the proverbial grain of salt, and ignored it for quite a while. That is, until I read the article entitled, "Iraqi Connection To Oklahoma Bombing" in the 4/15/02 edition of "Insight" magazine, a publication associated with the Washington Times. In a nutshell, Bill Clinton has done it again; he’s orchestrated a major covered-up. But not just one of his normal "major" cover-ups -- you know, the ones involving transfer of vital military technologies to our enemies (i.e. supercomputers, missile launch technology, etc.) and actively soliciting illegal campaign contributions from the Red Chinese. This one is a real doozey. Clinton, with the aid of the Janet Reno Justice Department, connived to withhold profoundly important information from the American people regarding Iraq’s participation in the bombing of the Murrah Building in Oklahoma City, which resulted in the deaths of 168 innocent civilians.

We, as American citizens, had a right to know that the Iraqi regime was directly implicated in a second terrorist act upon American soil, the first occurring two years prior at the Twin Towers, NYC (1993). With that pivotal knowledge, the American people could have geared up for the "war on terrorism" much sooner, and possibly even averted the 9/11 disaster. Clearly, the Justice Department, under the direct auspices of Bill Clinton and his lackeys Janet Reno and Eric Holder, chose to represent the Oklahoma City bombing as a solely domestic conspiracy, eschewing all indications of Iraqi involvement. It’s bad enough that Clinton patently ignored overseas terrorist assaults on American assets in the 1990’s (Khobar Towers in Saudi Arabia, our Embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, USS Cole in Aden, Yemen, etc.). But to deep-six evidence of an Iraqi connection to the Oklahoma City bombing is no less than mind-boggling, totally egregious. Moreover, if the entire plot had been exposed, the American public would have pressured Bill Clinton to take appropriate military action against Iraq, whether he liked it or not. And I’m not talking about hitting another camel in the rear with an expensive cruise missile. There would have been calls for all-out war against Saddam Hussein’s regime. I really don’t think that was part of Bill Clinton’s agenda while in office. Remember, he had his eye on that Nobel Peace Prize for brokering an Israeli-Palestinian accord that never materialized.

There seems to be compelling evidence of an "Iraqi link" developed by several individuals including McVeigh defense attorney Stephen Jones, Larry Klayman of the Judicial Watch organization, and Oklahoma City attorney Mike Johnson. Apparently, neither Timothy McVeigh nor his accomplice Terry Nichols knew how to make a powerful bomb capable of bringing down the Murrah building. Nichols, who had been married to a Filipino, traveled on many occasions to the Philippines, a nation known to harbor elements of Islamic fanaticism. Based on the testimony of a variety of witnesses, it’s believed that Nichols allied himself with a group of Islamic militants located in Cebu City in the Philippines, where he was instructed in the art of bomb-making by Ramzi Youssef, an Iraqi agent. Nichols, in turn, passed on this know-how to his buddy and crime partner, Timothy McVeigh. Moreover, Ramzi Youssef is the same individual who was subsequently convicted of participation in the 1993 Twin Towers bombing. In the referenced Insight magazine piece, Stephen Jones stated, "We went to the Philippines four times to investigate Terry Nichols’ meetings with Ramzi Youssef and other known terrorists". And Jones believes that there is a "prima facie" case for Iraqi involvement in the terrorist assault upon the Murrah Building. There are also reports that McVeigh had Iraqi telephone numbers on his person when he was arrested.

Extensive information is presented in the federal lawsuit filed by Judicial Watch against the nation of Iraq on behalf of those victimized by the Oklahoma City attack (Judicial Watch website). According to the legal complaint, "Plaintiffs assert that the entire plot was, in whole or part, orchestrated, assisted technically and/or financially, and directly aided by agents of the Republic of Iraq". Noteworthy, the attacks upon both the Murrah Building and the Twin Towers (1993) involved the use of fertilizer bombs, reflecting the expertise of Ramzi Youssef. Judicial Watch also indicates that Interpol had linked Ramzi Youssef to the Oklahoma City bombing, as well.

Certainly, Timothy McVeigh was one of the guilty parties in a truly horrific episode in American history, of that I have no doubt. But the Oklahoma City bombing case should be thoroughly re-evaluated by the Bush Justice Department in light of the suppressed materials, and the emerging information under development.

Here we go again, another loony with a crazed notion". For me, conspiracies represent the hobgoblins of a paranoid mind.

If I read the article correctly, this person believes Oswald was not a lone gunman and her government conspired to cover it up. She also believes Iraq was involved in the OKC bombing and the government conspired to covered it up. Do you suppose she even realizes what a fool she appears to be when she precedes such claims with "conspiracies represent the hobgoblins of a paranoid mind."

Please get this lady some help.

Can any of this really be proven, or are we in for another multi-million dollar investigation that turn up nothing?

Most folks feel that way right up until the time they discover a "conspiracy theory" that suits their own world view.

Myself?...I of course have a few "conspiracy theories" that I buy into, but I don't let `em keep me awake at night.

The really crazy thing is to pretend there are no conspiracies. Conspiracies make the world go round.

In the case of OKC, it was Klinton's life ambition, toward which he drove his entire presidency, to have 9-11 happen on his watch. That's why he covered up the terrorist connections. He wanted the big strike, so he could use it as a springboard to total power.

There is evidence suggesting Moussaoui's(20th hijacker) Oklahoma roomate, Menepta, was seen with McVeigh prior to the bombing. Court testimony establishes that an informant told the FBI the day after the OKC bombing that Menepta was involved in a radical Islamic group advocating destroying U.S. government targets. Menepta's credit card number was connected to WTC 1993 bombing. Can you think of a better use of your money than an investigation that could prevent a future WTC 1993, OKC bombing, or 9-11?

The real eye-opener is to consider OKC in the political timeframe of its day. When Newt Gingrich took over as Speaker, in Jan 1995, with Contract for America, he promised to enact all 10 provisions within the first 100 days. If I recall, he got nine out of ten.

Within DAYS of that amazing accomplishment, OKC utterly turned this country AGAINST Conservatives. Clinton and his media puppets, skillfully tied OKC to Conservatism. He privatedly bragged that OKC "was the best thing that ever happened to him".

What made a OKC conspiricy believer out of me was a videotape collection of local OKC news coverage in real time that day. The local anchors report that the FBI took bombs OUT of the wreckage of the Murrah building "that were bigger than the one that did the damage". I wish somebody could provide the URL for that videotape. It's a real eye opener.

Translation: I know you're gonna think I'm crazy, but.....................................................................

This is how all conspiracy theorists start out. There's ALWAYS some variation of the phrase, "I know you're gonna think I'm crazy, but....."

Untrue.

I never once heard Hillary say "I know you think I am crazy, but... a vast right wing conspiracy made Bill do her."

Yes I can think of better uses for the money than to repeatedly keep spending millions on "investigations" that come up with the same damned conclusions each time.

I understand BTTT means back to the top. Still don't know what btt means. Happy to comply if given (or if I find) the meaning.

It's been a rough weekend, and the reply I gave was the longest I've ever sent; it was shocking and almost surreal to review it when I woke up yesterday. Sincere, all the same. I do recall it took well over an hour to make, and still couldn't keep it free of typos.

Thanks for the reply and best wishes.

Sean.
