CNN lets Palestinian propagandist pose as "journalist"

Posted on 04/03/2002 10:12:50 AM PST by jraven

I just turned off CNN with absolute revulsion. Their anchor had cut to an "eyewitness" in Bethlahem, an American sounding person who said he was a "journalist" representing some news service I never heard of. He said he was there out of a sense of duty to tell the world how the Palestians are suffering. The anchor did not (totally) ignore her duty. She pointed out that there are two sides to everything...and that in fact as they spoke there was a gunfight with Palestinians firing guns and catching civilians in the cross fire. This phoney "journalist/eyewitness" said that he realized of course there was strong Palestinian "resistance" (a word that implies they are resisting oppression versus possibly resisting a police action to halt brain-washed youths from blowing up women and children in cafes) I was so absolutely disgusted on CNN allowing this blatant propagandist a platform with such light-weight counter questions that I switched to FOX...something I do more and more I find. There is NO WAY a FOX or most journalist from the networks would have let this guy pass himself off as a mere "journalist" or "eyewitness." Sounds like an American working with them , or someone who has been educated here. Anyone else see this example of how far our journalist standards have fallen???

The Palestinians are "suffering?"

Sounds like an improvement. Let them suffer more.

It was some idiot named Shawn Robinson (I think) with those immensely stupid "International Solidarity Movement" twerps, the ones who mewed loudly to their embassies to get their poor butts out of Bethehem after they got gassed. Apparently, being human shields for the Palies lost its attraction after that unfortunate encounter. Of course, that they were putting embassy workers & the drivers of the armored cars at grave danger was no concern of theirs--they just wanted their butts saved.

I hope Israel either arrests them or expels them from the country.

You Israel-First types never get enough. There is a Palestinian side to the conflict although one would never know it from the US media. What we mostly get from Israel is Jewish journalists feeding softball questions to Israeli officials. In the meantime the home airways are filled with Netanyahu, Barak, the Israeli ambassador, Richard Pearle, Daniel Pipes, etc, ad nauseum. One person with the Palestinian viewpoint somehow wanders onto CNN and you have a fit.

What is it about Barak that you find offensive? At Clinton's prompting, he practically grabbed his ankles and offered Arafat good cash money to fulfill the act - but was refused. You should love that guy. He gave your heroes all the guns and ammo they're using now to kill Israeli Jews.

I set up a route on my computer. Go to the command prompt and type:

ROUTE ADD 66.56.65.15 MASK 255.255.255.255 127.0.0.1 METRIC 3

This will ensure that no one can ever direct you to the CNN website so as to not give them any "hits". I also deleted CNN from all my televisions.

Of course there were real grievances or injustices suffered by the Palestinians, but the bombings of civilians in oizzerias and cafes, as well as the rejection of the best deal they could ever hope for, have caused most of us not to care any more about whatever those grievances were.

They had their chance, and they blew it up.

And yes, regular people do end up paying the price for the gross mistakes and crimes of their bad leaders.

On the top of the hour about 2.5 hours ago (12p.m. Eastern? 9:00 a.m. Pacific?), the CBS Radio National News said this, and I am paraphrasing almost to the exact words used:

"And in the West Bank today, Israel continued it's agression."

Freepers, I am NOT making this up and could not believe my ears. Did anyone else stateside there catch it? Flabbergasted.

Seti, do us a favor--go to the West Bank, wrap yourself in an explosive belt loaded with about 10 kilos of C-4 like your friends, the mass murderers, do. Then I want you to walk to the nearest IDF checkpoint & do a little dance for them, okay? Drop us a line to see how you fare.

Side with the Palis...die with the Palis.

Simple equation, no?

I have a few questions for you...let's see where you are really.

1) Are there Pali gunmen who shot their way into the Church of the Nazareth, and are even now shooting from inside that structure...with priests and nuns still inside as hostages (since one assumes that if they weren't hostages, they could simply open the doors and leave)?

2) Did or did not Israeli forces recover MASSIVE arms caches from Arafat's HQ? arms that are in DIRECT contradiction to the Oslo accords?

3) Exactly HOW MANY suicide bombers were Jews attacking Pali/Arab sites? and just where were these peaceniks when Jews were being slaughtered?

4) When the US was in a campaign against an Arab state, there were screams to halt the offensive during Ramadan...did the Arabs hold the Jewish High Holy Days sacrosanct?

5) Just when will take your head from your rear end and see that the Arab world is DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE for almost ALL of the world's conflicts, a goodly portion of drug trade, State -Sponsored TERRORISM, and a wholesale contempt for life?

So, in conclusion...all of Islam needs to be put to the torch again! This is the blatantly obvious solution to a HUGE percentage of the world's problems, and I for one can't wait for that day!

I really don't have any strong feelings about Barak either way except I don't think he is a very good spokesperson for the Palestinian cause, which is why I listed him. Actually I think he did Israel a great service by offering a plan which got Arafat's rejection 10 minutes before the people of Israel rejected him because of the plan, giving a great propaganda boost to the home team.

I think your final statement summarizes your views very nicely. You might call it the "Final Solution".
