"When I came to you, brothers, proclaiming the mystery of God, I did not come with sublimity of words or of wisdom. For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ, and him crucified. " (I Corinthians 2:1-2)

...he also does everything BIG.

I have always enjoyed going to see Marshal Fredericks' Cross in the Woods.

But is this the concept drawing of the cross? It looks more like the "highest" cross than the Largest cross.

Yup. Not too crazy about the asymmetrical, modernist pedestal either. You can't have it all, I guess.

My favorite is that statue in Rio de Janeiro. Awesome.

I saw this story headline and was amazed that it wasn't being proposed for part of a memorial at the World Trade Center. Now that would make sense.

If they are denied a permit maybe they can build it across from me. I live in the woods and don't have any view. At least I'd have something to look at.
