ARDEN HILLS, Minn. -- Land O'Lakes said Thursday it will close its spreads manufacturing plant in Faribault and consolidate its foodservice and retail spreads manufacturing at its plant in Kent, Ohio.
About 90 workers are employed at the Faribault plant, which the company said will be put up for sale. Land O'Lakes said it would provide severance and job placement help for the Faribault employees.
The consolidation, to be done in phases, will be completed by the end of summer, Land O'Lakes officials said.
