1. If the chain of custody is broken the evidence cannot be admitted.

2. If anyone tampers with evidence, that person can be charged with a crime and the evidence is inadmissible.

Under normal conditions...but the usual rules don't seem to apply when the defendant is Donald Trump.

But this may be the one honest judge in all these lawsuits.
