On Wednesday’s broadcast of NPR’s “All Things Considered,” Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry stated that hitting climate goals will cost between 2.5 to 5 trillion dollars annually “for the next 30 years” and that he believes China might not actually use the new coal plants they’re building because “That’s what they say to us. And that’s what begins to be a possibility as we look at the massive amount of renewable that’s being deployed.”
Co-host Ari Shapiro asked, [relevant exchange begins around 3:10] “China is building more coal-fired power plants and the U.S.[‘s] emissions are not falling fast enough to meet American climate goals. And so, what leads you to believe that these promises will be kept?”

Kerry the fool think you can trust the Chinese Communist Party ,LOL
Kerry isn’t
Isn’t is the reason he got the job.
Is Kerry evil, stupid, crazy, or all 3?
Traitorkerry will say whatever it takes to give aid and comfort to the enemies of the United States.
I watched the first episode of the Addams Family. I can see why Rush Limbaugh called him Lurch.
Hahah. Kerry says.
>> Is Kerry evil, stupid, crazy, or all 3?
Add “naive” and you got it! All 4.
Oh, yes...he’s also a traitor.
I believe there’s a kind of soulless creature that represents a large portion of the political class that will fully believe and incorporate into their being anything that brings them power, even something that they may have been against in the past. It’s pure corruption and perversion down to their core.
Spending $75 trillion to $150 trillion to save really rich people like Obama from having to elevate their luxurious oceanfront houses is absurd.
I like China’s policies. We should copy them and start building hundreds of coal fired power plants we will probably never use.
Germany kwh costs have hit 76.32
US kwh costs are 23 avg.
Pretty soon companies like Mercedez Benz will only produce in the US due to energy costs
The Chinese are not stupid enough to destroy their own country!
Sure, just show us the proof John that man is responsible for the 1 degree temp rise
Kerry says China “might not” use the coal plants it is building.
The only justification he gives is to meet the 2050 “net zero” goal of the climate change movement, China won’t be able to use all of these coal plants. Of course he doesn’t even conceive of the possibility China has no intention of meeting the 2050 goals, no matter what their diplomats say. After all, what is the US going to do if 2050 comes around and China is operating thousands of coal power plants spewing carbon into the atmosphere? There will be no consequences and China knows it.
All the 2050 zero carbon standard does is force the shutdown of more US and Western European manufacturing as expensive green energy replaces fossil fuel energy in western countries. That production will move to China and India where cheap fossil fuel energy will drive their economies.
Meanwhile the US will devolve into a third world country - poor education, expensive energy, no middle class, high crime, dilapidated infrastructure, and a tyrannical government. The trend is clear and is accelerating.
“””” China might not actually use the new coal plants they’re building because “That’s what they say to us.””””
YUP. We can believe everything China says to us. Kinda like we can believe China FLU came from a bat cave.
That's what the Global Warming Scam is all about: massive amounts of profits to the global elites who push it, to line their pockets from their "investments" (in both politicians, and companies they own and control).
“””Is Kerry evil, stupid, crazy, or all 3?”””
None of the above. Kerry is more likely a secret agent for the CCP.
China doesn’t give a rat’s rump about climate goals…
