We know that Obama is unpopular in many parts of the country. We also know many more Democrats than usual are hiding their party affiliation in campaign signs and ads. We also know that many Democrat operatives steal, deface or remove Republican campaign signs because they are closet Nazis who cannot stand fair elections.
Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to identify Democrat candidates in your area that are ducking from Obama. Buy bumper stickers you can special order in bulk and then spend a day or so attaching the bumper stickers onto Democrat campaign signs.
The stickers will have messages such as:
"A PROUD OBAMA SUPPORTER" or
"IF YOU LIKE OBAMA, YOU'LL LOVE..." or
"SUPPORTING THE OBAMA AGENDA" or
"A RUBBER STAMP FOR OBAMA".
The beauty of this is that if any liberal or Democrat cries foul, you can ask "Well, aren't you PROUD to support the Obama agenda?" or "Don't you love the leader of your party?"
However, to non-liberals, this will be a red flag to indicate the candidate will be a YES vote for high taxes, big spending, more regulations, more government intrusion, etc.
You force the Dems to defend what they don't want to defend and if they decline, you make them look disloyal to their party.
And can it be called vandalism if you are simply attributing to them endorsement of what they would seem to naturally endorse?
It's a wonderful "dirty trick" because the candidates can't protest too loudly that their signs have been vandalized or risk blowback from wingnut liberals and possible charges of racism.
There is nothing worse than commie liberals except for Nazis or Jihadis with whom they both have a lot in common.
then spend a day or so attaching the bumper stickers onto Democrat campaign signs.
Sorry, I don’t play by their rules, If we can’t win by not defacing/destroying other people’s property (and that is their property) then we don’t deserve to win.
Every two years, like clockwork, the union guys go out and steal our signs. We’ve had sightings of a truck cruising down the street, guys on either side grabbing every Republican sign.
Whenever this happens, I have to talk a bunch of understandably pissed off volunteers from going out and stealing the other side’s signs. The bottom line is that signs are cheap. We now buy thousands beyond what the national campaign provides in presidential elections. I put volunteers to work putting up new signs. We’ve even hand painted signs, with a message about sign stealing. We do press releases. We get coverage. We make the other side look bad.
I would say that the media story about the first person caught defacing a sign (and someone will be caught) will eliminate any benefit of your stickers.
Bad idea.
You don’t need to deface their sign. You can create your own sign saying something like “Voted For Obamacare” with an arrow which points to the Dem sign. If done properly, it’s perfectly legal and isn’t vandalism.
Are you a Saul Alinsky acolyte? One of his Rules for Radicals is to hold your opponents to the highest possible standard while there are no rules for you. Lying, stealing, dirty ticks - all are fair in politics, according to Alinsky.
The biggest danger of the OH strategy is getting caught and blasted by the media.
I like that. I think it would make a lot of people smile and then think seriously about it and it would make some people really, really mad, which would make me smile.
In some states this is illegal. Just FYI.
So you think they’re Nazi’s because they deface GOP signs and your answer is too... deface their signs? No.
Work FOR conservatives in a POSITIVE manner. Guard against dirty tricks without committing them.
No, but of course unlike some, I have MY own conscience, as well as God that I am accountable toward.
I believe if we conduct this revolution in the right way and trust in Him we will be successful!
God Bless,
J.S.
You can put up a small sign with the same words a few feet behind the large one and from the road they will read as one.. And you have not defaced anything..
So now whats your complaint?
W
OrangeHoof suggested that true information should be added, the simple fact that they are Democrats. Is that misinforming or defacing?
Perhaps a fair compromise would be to put the bumper stickers on a separate sign next to the candidates.
To be honest, I’m attaching the candidate to Obama, not the Democrat Party. They may not like that but is that any different than attaching Republicans in 2008 to George W. Bush? The Dems routinely did that to GOP candidates then.
