Maher began the monologue by declaring that America is “stupid” because 60 percent of the country reportedly believes the tale of Noah’s ark is literally true. He went on to slam the film Noah as “floating giraffe cr**,” but said it “must be doing something right” since it’s been condemned by both Muslims and Christians. And the fact that it might lose a lot of studio money, he joked, “may put it in hot water with the Jews too.”

Fox News contributor and former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin will be launching her own digital video channel, tentatively called “Rogue TV,” a source familiar with the project told Capital. The channel will be available through Tapp, the digital video service founded by former CNN chief Jon Klein and former NBC Universal entertainment executive Jeff Gaspin. Subscriptions will cost $10 per month. Rogue is expected to launch in April or May, and it would be one of the first of the digital channels offered by Tapp.

Recently, the Clown Prince of Journalism, Bill O'Reilly, called Barack Hussein Oblahblah a "patriot". I kid you not. From the good folks at Breitbart: *** “ 'I said on Kimmel that both President Bush the younger and Barack Obama are patriots because they served their country,' O’Reilly said. 'You may not agree with them, alright? But I don't think you say they're not patriots unless you have, you know, evidence that is just through the roof. I think almost every president that's ever served this nation has been a patriot, including Richard Nixon.' After Phil Robertson, the patriarch of "Duck Dynasty," made controversial remarks about homosexuality that were published in GQ magazine, former vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin spoke out in his defense. However, when asked by Fox News host Greta Van Susteren if Robertson's remarks were offensive and whether or not she had any objection as to how he worded his comments, Palin said she didn't know what Robertson had actually said, Politico reports. “I haven’t read the article. I don’t know exactly how he said it,” Palin explained on Fox News’s “On the Record With Greta Van Susteren" on Monday. On December...

Bill O’Reilly: Duck Dynasty’s Phil Robertson ‘made a mistake’ Cheryl K. Chumley, Washington Times Fox News Channel’s Bill O'Reilly, host of “The O'Reilly Factor,” said Phil Robertson of “Duck Dynasty” fame actually erred with some of his biblically-based comments about the sinfulness of homosexuality. Mr. O'Reilly, a self-proclaimed Christian, honed in on one specific part of Mr. Robertson’s much-publicized quotes in GQ magazine – the condemnation aspect. “Mr. Robertson, I believe, made a mistake by the condemnation line,” he said, Politico reported. “It’s not about the Bible, or believing or not believing in the Bible. It’s singling out a group,...

EXCLUSIVE: You’ve got to hand it to the friends of Xenu: they are a clubby bunch. Earlier this summer Michelle Stafford, a top celeb Scientologist, left her Emmy winning role on CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” after 16 years. No one knows why exactly. Stafford told the soap opera press she was “done.” Her role will likely be recast. So what did Stafford leave for? To make a YouTube series with her Scientology pals. “The Stafford Project” so far is just two episodes, each around 9 minutes long. The “project” is a reality series in small installments, all about...

Dick Morris is gone from Fox News. Meanwhile, Karl Rove has been given a new multiyear contract. But why? A Fox News spokesman said only that the network chose not to renew Morris' contract. It's not hard to figure out why. Morris was glaringly wrong on the outcome of the 2012 presidential contest, predicting often and loudly that Mitt Romney would win in a romp. Funny thing is that Karl Rove was conspicuously wrong about the presidential results, too. Rove just wasn't as vociferous as Morris, except on Election Night. Even respected conservative elections analyst and commentator Michael Barone called...

While the departure of Sarah Palin from Fox News as a paid contributor has caused endless speculation (as well as endless jubilation among her enemies) there are just a few known facts, according to the story in RealClearPolitics. After some negotiations for a renewal of her contract, Palin was made an offer which was refused. The parting of the ways is said to be amicable. That doesn't mean that some informed speculation is not warranted.

  • Inside Scientology’s strict Sea Org which Suri Cruise faced joining

It is Scientology's higher order where members pledge their allegiance for one billion years - and may have cost Tom Cruise his marriage. Sending six-year-old Suri to the Sea Organisation, or Sea Org as it is known, is what is said to have been the final straw for Katie Holmes before she filed for divorce. The group is run like a military clique from the Scientology Gold Base in California which has sniper-style nest bunker that overlooks the entire property. Members are paid just $50 a week and banned from leaving their base or they are tracked down by a...

Rubert Murdoch has a lot of Thetans perturbed with him. That’s because the founder and chairman of News Corp., which owns Fox News and the Wall Street Journal, among other media properties, tweeted Sunday that there is “(s)omething creepy, maybe even evil, about these people.” Murdoch was referring to adherents of Scientology, like actor Tom Cruise, who prefer to think themselves as “Thetans” – a term coined by L. Ron Hubbard, the cult’s founder – rather than “people.” Murdoch followed up his original tweet with another reporting that his twitter account had been bombarded with “hundreds of attacks” from Thetans....

Glen Larson, creator and producer of the first show, is a member of the Church of Latter-day Saints. He based much of the first series on Mormon cosmology. Was there a concerted effort to move away from that in this version? Not specifically, no. I looked at the original series as mythos and the way it dealt with religion as sort of a global sense. I was aware that Glen had used Mormon influences and how he had created the cosmology, but I'm not that familiar with Mormon belief or practice. To me there were things that were sort of...

Videos ......VAN SUSTEREN: So, is Speaker Gingrich right or are questions like these fair game? Back with Karl Rove. Karl, you know, I sort of, when you watch someone else do it, another member of the media, you sort of cringe a little bit. I’m sure I’m guilty myself of doing that, but Speaker Gingrich certainly didn’t think that was the most important question going into Super Tuesday. But is it a fair question of the Speaker? KARL ROVE: Well, God bless Speaker Gingrich for taking David Gregory out behind the barn and giving him a whooping..................................................................... Rick Santorum’s trio of victories ...is shifting the Republican presidential contest into a state-by-state fight for delegates that could last much longer than initially anticipated. The battle appears to be breaking down along regional lines, with Santorum gaining momentum in the Midwest, Newt Gingrich resonating in the South and Mitt Romney faring best in the Northeast and elsewhere... For now, all four candidates are on a hunt for delegates, each with an incentive to stay in through the next several contests. Gingrich and Ron Paul were already pledging to stay in the race for the long haul, and both have...

I am also aware that your husband Mr. Coale is a dedicated Demcrat liberal and you have been a loyal wife in co-hosting Democratic fund raisers with him. I do admire your ethics in not having posed as a conservative in your Fox News show. In fact I actually have scrutinized your interviews and would be hard-put to point out any unfairness on your part. Los Angeles - No doubt Sammy Hagar, a former lead singer for Van Halen, has enjoyed a lot of far out experiences in life, but on Monday, the rocker told perhaps his farthest out tale to MTV. He was abducted by aliens. Or, at least, his brain was. (Snip) Hagar laughs and goes on to explain that a passage in the book described as a dream in which he is contacted by aliens from outer space in California was, in fact, reality. The tale describes how the beings tapped into his mind through a wireless connection.
