<p>Brian Robertson was just months away from graduation at Moore High School in Moore, Oklahoma, last year when he found the beginnings of what he thought was a short story on a school computer. I've never posted anything on FreeRepublic. I guess I've never had anything profound to share with anyone until now. My wife's grand-father John "Pete" Howell of Andrews, Texas, died yesterday. He was 86 years old. He was my friend. He served his country as a medic in the 36th Infantry Division of the Texas Army National Guard in World War II.
