Wild video of a children's Toy Story-themed birthday party has sparked backlash after Jessie was seen twerking on a toddler while Woody grinds on a guest. The birthday bash took place in New Orleans and featured a real-life Woody and Jessie decked out in full costumes, masks and cowboy hats. Woody and Jessie came from DeQuan's Cartoon Mascots, a kids entertainment service in New Orleans providing kids' favorite cartoon mascots to 'visit and entertain' parties. Children wandered around the outdoor-party idly while the adults, clad in cowboy boots, went to town with blasting hip-hop music and provocative dancing. At one...

An iconic San Francisco toy store famed for inspiring the Toy Story movies has been forced to close after 86 years due to the city's rampant crime and homelessness epidemic. Jeffrey's Toys shared the news this week that it would be permanently closing its doors, citing a crimewave that had left it 'struggling for a number of years'. The store's attorney named the 'perils and violence of the downtown environment' as the main factor driving the decision, alongside 'inflation, the decrease in consumer spending and the demise of retail across the world'. 'The leadership of the City of San Francisco...

The oldest toy store in San Francisco, which was the inspiration for the movie Toy Story, is shutting its doors for good due to rampant crime and other issues. Jeffrey’s Toys said Friday it will be permanently closed by the end of February after 86 years of serving customers, the New York Post reported Saturday. Attorney Ken Sterling said, “The store has been struggling for a number of years, due to the perils and violence of the downtown environment, inflation, the decrease in consumer spending and the demise of retail across the world.”

Sources told Reuters of the job cuts on Saturday, which mark the first major job eliminations at the legendary studio in ten years. Lightyear director Angus MacLane had worked at Pixar as an animator for 26 years. He was part of the senior creative team on films like Toy Story 4 and Coco. Lightyear producer Galyn Susman had been at Pixar since the release of the original Toy Story film in 1995, according to Reuters’ sources. Additionally, Michael Agulnek, Pixar’s vice president of worldwide publicity since 2015, was also laid off, the report said. The job cuts took place on...

Estelle Harris, who hollered her way into TV history as George Costanza’s short-fused mother on “Seinfeld” and voiced Mrs. Potato Head in the “Toy Story” franchise, has died. She was 93. As middle-class matron Estelle Costanza, Harris put a memorable stamp on her recurring role in the smash 1990s sitcom. With her high-pitched voice and humorously overbearing attitude, she was an archetype of maternal indignation. Trading insults and absurdities with her on-screen husband, played by Jerry Stiller, Harris helped create a parental pair that would leave even a psychiatrist helpless to do anything but hope they’d move to Florida —...

An American organization called One million Moms has started a campaign in order to protest a 'lesbian' scene that was present in the movie. Also, the group of mothers has accused Disney of choosing ‘to be politically correct versus providing family-friendly entertainment’, and have advised the Mouse House that they should stick to entertainment, rather than pushing an agenda and exposing children to controversial topics. This scene has caused enough outrage among the members of the organization that they have started a petition against Disney and has gained 12,555 signatures. According to the petition, the members believe they have been...

Pro-LGBT activists are praising Disney’s Toy Story 4 for including a “small but important moment of LGBTQ representation” with a scene of two moms dropping off a boy to school, both of them showing him affection. “At the start of the movie, when Woody’s new owner Bonnie goes for her first day of kindergarten, there’s a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it scene where one child is dropped off by two moms. Later, the moms return to pick up their child and give them a hug,” states Gay Times in a June 26 article about the scene. “It’s a small scene, sure, and it’s certainly...

What Buzz Lightyear Taught Me About Humility By: Msgr. Charles PopeThere was movie some years ago that most of you have probably seen called Toy Story. It had a deep impact on me, for it came out at a critical moment in my life.It was my 33rd year of life and the 6th year of my priesthood. As I have related elsewhere, I had suffered a nervous breakdown that required a week in the hospital and a month off to recuperate. What drove me to that point was being asked to take an assignment I really wasn’t ready for. I...

Andy's mom has always been a bit of an enigma. In the first Toy Story, we barely even saw her face. That's all fine because throughout the movies, the real focus has been on Andy and the love he has for those toys. But this is Pixar, and it stands to reason that there is more than meets the eye when it comes to the Davis family (Andy's last name). In order to understand who Ms. Davis really is, we have to start with something seemingly simple: a hat. In the picture below, you see Andy's cowboy hat that...

    1. Pixar/Disney's Toy Story 3 is the 3D monster everybody thought it would be with $41 million Friday and $37 million Saturday and an estimated $31M Sunday on 4,028 locations, including 2,463 3D screens (of which 180 are IMAX which did $8.4M at 180 theaters or 8% of TS3 overall weekend domestic gross for the biggest IMAX animated film ever and the 5th highest IMAX domestic opener ever). The 3D ticket price advantage made this Pixar's biggest, swamping previous Pixar 2D opening weekends, including 2003 Finding Nemo's $70.2M and 2004 The Incredibles' $70.4M. Toy Story 3 will debut to $111M...

It is pretty easy nowadays to write a review of a Pixar movie. Simply write, 'Great!', and end it there...and you would pretty much hit the nail on the head. The original Toy Story movies were the coming out party for Pixar 15 years ago. They introduced America to a new kind of animation...one that once again drew adults and children. And this movie, as much as any, taps into that.
