OJHAR, India: The private sector will now play a key role in the manufacture of the hi-tech Sukhoi-30 fighter at the HAL, the company's chairman A K Baweja announced on Monday. Baweja was addressing mediapersons after a ceremony where two technologically-upgraded Sukhois were delivered to the IAF. He said that in the future, 30 per cent of the work involved in making the fighter jets will be assigned to private industries.
