Conservative grassroots leaders are planning a series of massive pro-President Donald Trump rallies nationwide, Breitbart News has learned exclusively. On Feb. 27 and March 4, the rallies—dubbed the Spirit of America Rallies—will spring up nationwide in cities and towns across America. “These rallies are inclusive, non-partisan, and open to anyone supporting President Trump in his efforts to bring back manufacturing jobs to America, put the security of our nation ahead of political correctness, improve our infrastructure, revitalize the inner cities and secure our nation’s borders,” Debbie Dooley, a national co-founder of the Tea Party movement and a key organizer of...

Mattis wanted to send a third aircraft-carrier group to the Persian Gulf earlier this year, The Daily Beast has exclusively learned, in what would have been a massive show of force at a time when Iranian military commanders were publicly threatening to sink American ships in the Strait of Hormuz. The four-star Marine Corps general and CentCom commander believed the display could have deterred Iran from further escalating tensions, according to U.S. military officials familiar with his thinking. But the president wanted to focus military resources on new priorities like China, and Mattis was told a third carrier group was...

CARSON – The Goodyear Blimp bobbles a few feet of the ground, awaiting one of its final takeoffs. “We’re coming off the mast,” pilot Bill Bayliss announces, as the 192-foot blimp is freed from its mooring. The Spirit of America will rise above the hustle-and-bustle of I-405 one last time on Monday, and cruise toward Tustin’s aging World War II blimp hangar. Five days later, the blimp will emerge as five tons of museum exhibits, recyclable rubber and spare parts.

I have no voice to call my own. A silent mute am I. I watch them struggle, work and play, And then I watch them die. The years pass ever onward, As do their short lived lives. With great and noble efforts Sent soaring to the skies. And even in their follies Their dreams still brightly shine. As other silent voices weep, I wish that they were mine. As my children’s lives are spent Though silent still I be. A voice whispers throughout the land By what is left to see. No longer silent Do I stand idly by. But...

This was posted here back in mid-April, but I think it bears reposting for those who haven't seen it and would like to help: "Fellow citizens, When American citizens of good will look at Iraq today, the most poignant question heard is: "What can I do?" At the Spirit of America we answer that question not with rhetoric, but with action. Our answer is direct aid to the people of Iraq. Working closely with the United States Marines, the Spirit of America finds real needs of real people and fills them; quickly, efficiently, and without bureaucratic log jams. By matching...

The photograph below was taken at Camp Pendleton, the Marine Corps base 38 miles north of San Diego. It shows Col. It will be in the air tomorrow, bound for Al Anbar province in Iraq. There, Marines from the First Expeditionary Force will help Iraqis restore seven local TV stations.
Thus spake George W. Bush this week: "The people of our country are united behind our men and women in uniform, and this government will do all that is necessary to assure the success of their historic mission." Still, many Americans who support the war don't much like sitting on their hands doing little more than watch it on TV. Some have written here, asking what they can do to help. This column will describe a real project that lets the folks at home lend a hand to the soldiers in Iraq.

To Los Angeles businessman Jim Hake, winning the hearts and minds of the Iraqi and Afghan people requires personal — not just governmental — intervention. That's why Hake founded Spirit of America, a nonprofit group that seeks donations to support grassroots efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan forged in the name of friendship. Hake said he was inspired to found the organization through televised reports about U.S. Special Forces soldiers in Orgun-e, a remote Afghan village about 20 miles from Pakistan. Army Sgt. 1st Class Jay Smith asked his wife to send baseball gloves and balls for the local children. Within...
