Peyton Manning is 0-6 with this guy as referee. ... The Denver Broncos, with Peyton Manning, are 0-4 when Bill Vinovich is referee. In fact, Peyton Manning is 0-6 in his career with Vinovich, since Vinovich was promoted to referee in 2004. ... Before we begin, a disclaimer. I know the Broncos didn't play well enough to win against the Bengals. I know the refs didn't throw four interceptions Monday night (although you could argue they threw one). I know Peyton Manning wasn't clutch, and I know the defense struggled, and I know all of these things contributed far more...

A petition started Monday on Change.org to ban CBS analyst Phil Simms from calling Denver Broncos games had gotten more than 19,600 signatures by early evening. Apparently many Broncos fans think Simms was biased .... However you feel about retired New York Giants quarterback Phil Simms, the Broncos petition is getting a lot of signatures. The number of signers went up by nearly 1,000 signatures in the time it took me to write this.

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - It seems like everyone has some advice these days for the winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers and struggling quarterback Chris Simms. Even President Bush tossed the football with the former University of Texas quarterback Thursday, and offered some advice. "Never give up," Bush said Thursday when asked what he told the Bucs during a half-hour visit to the team's training facility near Raymond James Stadium, where the president delivered a fundraising speech to about 400 people in a VIP club area. Coach Jon Gruden wouldn't disclose what additional wisdom the president might have imparted to Simms.

Olympia – The Evergreen Freedom Foundation (EFF) today called on King County Executive Ron Sims to fire elections supervisor Dean Logan immediately. “In light of the information contained in Mr. Logan’s deposition in the election challenge court case, Sims should fire Logan immediately,” Bob Williams, President of EFF said. “It is time for somebody in King County to start following the law or paying a price for not doing so. “Sims needs to clean up his shop, change the culture of hiding problems and call for a criminal investigation,” Williams said. “Logan is copping out when he says he didn’t...

The Evergreen Freedom Foundation released the list of the state's gubernatorial and legislative candidates who signed (or not) the Performance Audit Pledge (calling for all state agencies to have their performance audited by the state's elected auditor). The list of candidates and their position on the Performance Audit Pledge is here. Commend those candidates who signed the pledge. Reject those candidates who refused (unless they also state a compelling reason for refusing to sign). Ask tough questions of the candidates who declined to take a stand. Of the three major gubernatorial candidates, Republican Dino Rossi is the only one who...
