Salman Muflihi, of Brooklyn, allegedly pulled an 8-inch knife on the 36-year-old Asian man at about 6:20 p.m. Thursday, according to police sources. The Manhattan District Attorney’s office declined to prosecute the case as a hate crime, despite initial indications by police.
