Leftwing Radical George Soros, Unions, and Lawyers are behind these Amendments Check who has donated to the proponents: here. SUPPORTERS & DONORS: These measures are supported and bankrolled by lawyers, unions and true-leftist Democrat Party loyalists like ACLU, NAACP, the League of Women Voters, etc. Charlie Crist. In next Tuesday’s election Washington state voters will have a chance to weigh in on ballot initiative 1098, a measure that would impose an income tax for the first time in state history. 1098, if approved, would significantly worsen the state’s competitive tax climate by introducing a 5% on high income earners above $200,000 and 9% on income over $500,000. Such legislation serves as a short-term budget fix that also allows Washington to avoid cuts in spending. A special report, released today by the Tax Foundation, reveals that Washington State scores 11th best in State Business Tax Climate Index as...

In a victory for property tax reformers, Gov. Christie and local elected officials of both political parties, NJ Assembly Speaker Sheila Oliver tabled legislation yesterday that represented reform in name only. AB 3393, a bill Democratic leadership claimed would reform local governments' broken binding arbitration process, would have done almost nothing to control spiraling local government employee compensation costs. The governor and Democratic local elected officials like Essex County Executive Joseph DiVincenzo, Jr. and Elizabeth Mayor Christian Bollwage made the convincing case to Assembly Democrats that a hard cap on binding arbitration awards, absent from AB 3393, is a necessity...

...There's no need to make up new tax hikes--the dozens of them in Obamacare are quite enough. This posting is to set the record straight on two urban legends we've seen a lot: "There's a new 3.8 percent Medicare surtax on home sales." This refers to a new, 3.8 percent surtax on investment slated to begin in 2013. This will be assessed on taxable capital gains, dividends, interest, etc. in households making more than $250,000 per year. The reason this urban legend is misleading is because most home sales are excluded from capital gains taxation. If a married couple has...

DEMOCRATS USING REVERSE PSYCHOLOGYDEMOCRATS TRYING TO FOOL VOTERS IN FLORIDA'S 25TH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT This weekend, Democrats are mailing a flyer (see images below) pretending to attack their fake-tea-party candidate, Roly Arrojo. As reported early this month, public records show Roly Arrojo is a Democrat who is pretending to be a Tea Party candidate. What's their objective? The Democrats' objective is to trick voters into voting for Roly Arrojo and not the Republican candidate David Rivera. Democrats want to divide the conservative votes. This only benefits the leftist Democrat candidate, Joe Garcia. See the Democrats' latest trick with your own...

JOE GARCIA IS WRONG ON EVERY ISSUE! To watch video, click above image of this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EorDidpv0ro Joe Garcia: "In Florida, we pay the highest per capita in electricity in the country...in energy. That's not a bad thing." Barack Obama: "Under my plan of a Cap and Trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket." More: www.FactReal.com

...So, altogether we're talking about a five-year tax hike in the neighborhood of $2.4 trillion. This is a pretty good proxy for the ten-year CBO/JCT score given the fact that the report says these will be curtailed, not eliminated. Getting rid of these tax credits and deductions might be a good idea in the context of revenue-neutral (or tax-cutting) comprehensive tax reform--but that's not what's on the table here. This is a pure tax hike, plain and simple. There's no doubt that the government would spend all the new money, as well. We'd end up with higher taxes and higher...

HERE ARE THE DONATION RECORDS Yesterday, a group of lawyers filed a lawsuit to remove Republican David Rivera from the ballot. This, of course, will only benefit Joe Garcia. The Miami Herald reported that the "complaint, submitted in Miami-Dade Circuit Court, seeks to disqualify Rivera as a federal candidate based on financial disclosure forms Rivera filed while serving as state representative. Lawyers for Miami attorney William Barzee and Garcia supporter Maria Teresa Pascual filed the suit and held a news conference at the downtown Miami civil courthouse Thursday morning. Garcia was not there, though two of his campaign staffers...

...That such public-sector labor unions top the list of 2010 donors should cause no little controversy. When groups like AFSCME empty their coffers to benefit certain politicians—in this case, those who will put union interests ahead of the public’s—they are naturally spending the dues of their members, members who have, in many cases, been forced by this kind of politician to join the union in the first place. Since state, county and municipal employee salaries are funded with taxpayer dollars, it ends up being the general public which unwittingly donates these millions of dollars to partisan political campaigns. The Left...

...We’ve talked in excess Obama’s tax hikes, but here’s a refresher on how small businesses will be affected, thanks to just two policies: Small business and the expiration of the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts (January 2011) Personal income tax rates will rise for all brackets, making the highest tax rate 39.6 percent and the lowest rate 15 percent. Currently, the lowest rate is 10 percent; the highest is 35 percent.Itemized deductions and exemptions will be phased out, which will have the same effect as higher marginal tax rates. The Death Tax, which has always been especially hard on small businesses,...

At the Vatican’s Synod Hall, over 250 Catholic bishops are meeting for the Special Assembly for the Middle East for the Synod of Bishops. It is intended that out of this meeting will come guidance for bishops on dealing with issues specific to the Middle East, but what we hear most clearly are the voices of Catholic bishops crying out about Muslim aggression, mass emigration of Christians and the attempt by Muslims to bring full domination of the Holy Land and all of the Middle East by Islam. Here are fifteen troubling quotes from Catholic Bishops, including one from Europe,...

...To that end, CFA advocates for spending transparency as a means to combat the explosive size of government. The Center for Fiscal Accountability works with local, state and federal elected officials to increase transparency for taxpayers, and has successfully helped 31 states pass transparency legislation since the federal legislation that created USAspending.gov went into effect in 2007. Federally, Grover and CFA have been some of the most vocal opponents of the President’s Fiscal Commission, pointing out that only when tax hikes are taken off the table can spending cuts be made. History has proven this multiple times over: this was...
