A “trained Marxist” founder of Black Lives Matter has teamed up on a new venture with a pro-Chinese Communist Party organization. Alicia Garza is now behind the advocacy group Black Futures Lab, which is backed by the Chinese Progressive Association, according to the website. The group says it “gathers information about the ways that policy affects black communities” to educate and challenge lawmakers.

The Black Futures Lab, a venture of Black Lives Matter founder Alicia Garza, is sponsored by the Chinese Progressive Association (CPA), an organization that works with China’s communist government to push its agenda in the United States, according to an investigation by the Heritage Foundation’s Mike Gonzalez. Gonzalez discovered that the Black Futures Lab donation page explicitly states they are “a fiscally sponsored project of the Chinese Progressive Association,” explaining where donations to Black Futures Lab are funneled.

The Ottawa Redblacks pulled off one of the biggest upsets in Grey Cup history, defeating the Calgary Stampeders 39-33 in overtime. Ottawa quarterback Henry Burris threw an 18-yard touchdown to Ernest Jackson in overtime. Calgary, who got the ball second, could not equalize, giving Ottawa its first CFL title since 1976, when they were called the Rough Riders. Burris led the charge with 461 yards passing and three touchdowns. He added two more touchdowns on the ground.
