A prominent Chinese-Canadian activist says she is shocked, disappointed and angry about an Instagram post from Canadian singer Bryan Adams' official account that she and others say is racist. The post contains a snippet of Adams singing his hit song Cuts Like a Knife. An accompanying description expresses his frustration that COVID-19-related restrictions have led to the postponing of three shows at the Royal Albert Hall in London, England. "Tonight was supposed to be the beginning of a tenancy of gigs at the @royalalberthall, but thanks to some f--king bat eating, wet market animal selling, virus making greedy bastards, the...

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer slammed the protesters who gathered inside the state's Capitol building on Thursday to demand she rescind her stay-at-home orders, saying they represented the “worst racism and awful parts” of U.S. history. “Some of the outrageousness of what happened at our capitol depicted some of the worst racism and awful parts of our history in this country,” Whitmer said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “The behavior you've seen in all of the clips is not representative of who we are in Michigan,” she added.

A West Virginia middle school sent students an online lesson that accused Republicans of promoting discrimination against Asian-Americans by referring to the coronavirus as a "Chinese virus." Stephanie Laney, the parent of an eighth grader at Hurricane Middle School, sent me a copy of the assignment her daughter received in English class. Here’s a link to the assignment.Like many students around the country, Stephanie's daughter is currently attending classes online due to the coronavirus. The lesson was created by newsela, an education-based organization that provides classroom content. The lesson focused on a story written by the Texas Tribune titled, "Asian Americans say some politicians...

Look, folks, I have white parents. That’s what my mom, a liberal Democrat mind you, would say jokingly as to why I, for lack of a better term, sucked at math. I’m a bad Asian. I don’t like math or science. Well, I like science—I’m fascinated by stuff that explodes—but I never excelled at it. None of the Vespa kids did well in math. You could never even say that joke or even kid about Asians and math nowadays because the political correctness police would cancel you faster than you can say Gulag Archipelago. But I do know simple stuff...

Marc Lamont Hill, a liberal pundit who previously was a contributor for CNN, found himself in hot water after tweeting an offensive “joke” about Hollywood star Tom Hanks’ announcement that he contracted coronavirus. After 63-year-old Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson bravely announced that they had tested positive for the disease, Hill reposted a tweet announcing their diagnosis. “I’m Black. Call me when Will and Jada got it,” he captioned the tweet, according to Fox News. Hill was referring to the African American actors Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith. Many took the tweet to imply that Hill...

A liberal couple driving their car have been arrested for driving two teens off the road because the kids had Trump stickers on their bicycles. The police in Hobart, Indiana, arrested Kyren Gregory Perry-Jones, 23, and Cailyn Marie Smith, 18, after reviewing Snapchat video that showed the July 22 incident, according to NWI.com. According to the police investigation, Smith can be heard taunting the teens and saying, “Y’all scared, just like your president … America is not great, (expletive).” Smith is also heard asking the teens if they are Trump supporters, and they admit that they are. Latest: LA Times...

Watch: Sheila Jackson Lee Rails Against Trump Budget as Racist, Claims It Invokes Slavery Democrats seem to term everything racist, especially when it has anything to do with Republicans or President Donald Trump, whether it makes sense or not. Some of the things they’ve termed racist over the years are just downright silly. Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) demonstrated exactly that during a Congressional hearing on the proposed Trump budget for next year. Russell Vought was answering questions for the Office of Management and Budget to Congress. Lee attacked the budget talking about the “racist roots of work” and then...

He has a dream — of leading a New York City that is home to far fewer Midwesterners. Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams — the leading fundraiser in the 2021 mayoral race — used Monday’s Martin Luther King Jr. national holiday to deliver an inflammatory broadside against newcomers from the nation’s heartland. “Go back to Iowa, you go back to Ohio,” he said during a speech in Harlem. “New York City belongs to the people that was here and made New York City what it is.” Speaking at the National Action Network’s “King Day Celebration,” hosted by founder the Rev....

Rep. Al Green (D-Texas) claimed in an interview Saturday that President Donald Trump must be impeached "to deal with slavery" — despite the 13th Amendment, which abolished slavery, being ratified in 1865. Green, whose articles of impeachment were overwhelmingly rejected by the House, was asked on MSNBC what the outcome of the impeachment proceedings will be "if more evidence is revealed." In response, Green invoked America's "original sin." "I believe that the American people understand that this is something that we must do at this point," Green said. "I also think that if we don't include some of the things...

Among the reasons Democrats and their media sympathizers offer to show President Donald Trump's alleged "racism" is that he called Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., a "low IQ individual." At a July 2018 rally in Montana, Trump said: "She is a low I.Q. individual, Maxine Waters. I said it the other day. I mean, honestly, she's somewhere in the mid-60s, I believe that." And in June 2018, Trump tweeted: "Congresswoman Maxine Waters, an extraordinarily low IQ person, has become, together with Nancy Pelosi, the Face of the Democrat Party. She has just called for harm to supporters, of which there are...

Two 17-year-old boys accused of harassing four African-American middle schoolgirls — using racial slurs and urinating on one of the victims — are facing charges including bias intimidation and lewdness. Police say the boys are of Indian descent. Instead of asking what the boys’ reported racial identity tells us about the nature of the attack, we should see the boys as enacting American whiteness through anti-black assault in a very traditional way.

COLUMBIA, S.C. - Democratic presidential candidates in South Carolina Saturday accused U.S. President Donald Trump of stoking racism as they vied for the state’s black vote in its strategically important early primary. Former Vice President Joe Biden, U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont and five other Democrats participated in a forum at historically black Benedict College a day after Trump was presented an award there for his work on criminal justice, sparking outrage among candidates and temporarily prompting Senator Kamala Harris to pull out. Harris, a former district attorney and state attorney general in California, spoke at the event Saturday...

A postal worker in New York has refused to deliver mail at a man's house after he put up Halloween decorations that he deemed offensive. The postal worker, who is African American, took offense to a skeleton hanging by a noose near Richard Beatty's front door, WCBS reported. "It's not meant to be racist. It's not to meant to offend anybody," Beatty told the TV station. "It's here to be scary."

… For 44 years, Robert Moses ruled over New York. Unelected, his power drawn from up to 12 concurrent city, state and federal appointments, he used his unparalleled control of public authorities with impunity. Deftly utilizing loopholes and creating new law, Moses had his own shadow government, with his own police force, flag, and an island under the Triborough (now Robert F. Kennedy) Bridge. There is no debate over the sheer magnitude of what he built. His accomplishments bestride New York: 416 miles of highways, 13 bridges, 658 playgrounds and housing for 150,000 people. He constructed parkways, tunnels, beaches, zoos,...

A white man who cited Florida’s “stand your ground” self-defense law after fatally shooting a Black man during a dispute over a parking space last year has been convicted of manslaughter. Jurors in Clearwater, located roughly 25 miles west of Tampa, deliberated for six hours on Friday before announcing their verdict against Michael Drejka, 49, in the shooting death of Markeis McGlockton, reported the Tampa Bay Times. Drejka’s attorneys reportedly plan to appeal the verdict after their client’s sentencing hearing, which has been scheduled for Oct. 10. He faces up to 30 years in prison. The shooting occurred after McGlockton,...

If you are accused of racism, it is because you are a racist. Case closed. Apologize at once and cease being so hateful. That is the current standard in woke academic thinking on race relations. Salem State University professor Rebecca Hains says as much in a recent essay in The Washington Post, where she offers detailed instructions to white people who find themselves charged with racism. Nowhere in her five-step response plan does she permit the possibility that an accusation of racism could be unfounded. “Even if you know in your heart that you are not racist,” she wrote, “remember,...

Presidential primary candidate Beto O’Rourke has an unusual message for Democrat voters. America was founded on racism and America is still a racist country today, 243 years later. How’s that for an inspiring message? Beto’s re-launch of his presidential campaign is off to a rocky start, just like the previous re-launches. This time around he’s gone to a dark place and now insists that racism in America is his primary concern. He went off on a tangent Saturday night as the speaker at the third annual Arkansas Democratic Party Clinton Dinner in Little Rock.

It's"deplorables" all over again, but even worse. Remember, Hillary Clinton only smeared half of Trump supporters are irredeemably bigoted. O'Rourke appears to slime all Trump voters here, stating that it's "really hard" to see a 2020 Trump vote as anything other than a racist act. CNN's Jake Tapper poses the question -- which strikes me as a natural one, given Beto's nonstop racial rhetoric -- and after pausing for a beat or two, the candidate launches headlong into a vast slander:"President Trump won your home state of Texas by nine points," host Jake Tapper said. "Almost 63 million Americans voted...
