As an update, for those of you praying for my mother - we had another trip to Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia this Thursday. My mother’s tumor is inoperable, per MRI. Too dangerous to remove and not something that would come out cleanly anyway. It’s close to the base of the skull, the carotid artery, for example. This tumor does not respond to traditional chemotherapy, but they are sending out the biopsy for genetic testing to see if there is some kind of weakness that can be exploited with a special drug. There is only a 30% change this tumor...

Dear Freepers, I am asking for prayer for my Dad. He is in the hospital with what appears to be a subdural hematoma . It is similiar to a stroke and there is swelling associated with it pushing on the brain. This is his second one of these within the last 5 years and they had to do brain surgery last time. He also had a heart surgery a few years ago for a valve replacement and a string of operations in the last few years. I think they will be doing surgery on him tomorrow but I am not...

My wife needs a knee replacement operation. We are stuck in a glitch between our NYC primary HMO that won't pay for an out of state knee replacement, Medicare and a hospital in Florida where we live in the winter, that since we do have health insurance won't even let us pay for the whole operation out of pocket. Crazy situation. We were just bumped off the schedule for Monday morning. We need prayers to get a new date and have someone apply some common sense to this situation. I have a prayer request. My granddaughter, artistically talented, super smart, homeschooled, is having vision issues in one eye. Her vision in that one eye has gotten progressively worse over the last year and a half or so, and last week had a scan and there are dark areas in the scan around her optic nerve. The doc said that he has never seen this before in someone as young as she is (15) and without an autoimmune disease or diabetes. Not diabetic. Ruled out an infectious disease for the time being. She will see a nuerologic opthamologist next week...

My step sister Jan was recently diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. Over the weekend she was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia and her condition has been deteriorating rapidly. At this point we are bracing for the worst. Your prayers are deeply appreciated.

Please pray for my son, who is working in the oilfields in North Dakota. He has been experiencing excruciating pain in his feet. The pain doctor calls it neuropathy, but there isn't much they have been able to do for it. He is blessed with a job where he can sit frequently, but it does require his walking around now and then.They have tried surgery, powerful painkillers, and even CBD. He is strong and optimistic, but it's breaking my heart. PRAY!

Please pray for my Daughter Brittany first she was pregnant and gave birth(successfully) then they discovered Gall Stones after a trip to the ER, anyway she had Gall Bladder Removal Surgery and subsequent Bile Duck Surgery(more stones) and now she is having problems with her throat where the breathing tube was. I am requesting Prayers from my FReeper Friends. I am 84 YO and experienced a 10 minute Verbal Lapse on Good Friday. Diagnosed as a 75 % blockage in Left Carotid Artery bifircation. Right at 30%. Physically Normal but Anxious! Surgery will be 1 PM May 23.
