As Donald Trump inched closer to the presidency Tuesday night, Democratic commentator and former Obama administration staffer Van Jones offered an emotional analysis of what a potential Trump victory would mean for many parents in America. "You tell your kids, don’t be a bully. You tell your kids, don't be a bigot. You tell your kids, do your homework and be prepared," Jones said on CNN. On Monday Kansas Judge Patrick Thompson sentenced Desirah N. Overturf to life in prison with no chance of parole for 25 years in connection with the death by starvation of her three-month-old son. Overturf, 21, pled no contest to first degree murder charges in the death of her son Jordan, whose “skin just hanging on his bones,” according to Saline County Attorney Ellen Mitchell. Wrencher, who complained his rights were violated when he was warned not to cry or show remorse during his trial. Wrencher was admonished by District Court Judge Michelle Leavitt not to shed tears or display emotion, and he maintains that prejudiced him before the jury. The court said Wrencher did not object at trial but raised the issue later.
