Following complaints that it was racist, owners of a minor-league basketball team in Buffalo, N.Y. have changed the logo of their team, the Silverbacks, from a gorilla to some sort of panther-critter, according to the Buffalo News. A Muslim advocacy group's successful argument that a 9th grade student from a Virginia public high school did not have to wear regulation gym attire because of her Muslim religion, has fired up a critic of Islamic radicalism. McLEAN, Va. - An Arlington businessman who had been ordered by a local government commission to duplicate videos of gay-rights marches that he found offensive won a reprieve after the commission rescinded its initial order. Tim Bono, of Bono Film and Video, sued the Arlington County government last week after its Human Rights Commission found him in violation of the county's anti-discrimination laws.
