He is my brother Jack. He had a major stroke on the morning of Christmas Eve. He was unconscious for several days, but he has since reawakened, and is able to talk, but is very slow and sleepy. The stroke affected his thalamus, so he is having trouble with wakefulness. But he can move all his extremities, can answer questions (subtle ones even), still has his sense of humor, and is starting to speak as I write this.
