U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry on Wednesday said Israel's building of settlements on occupied land was endangering Middle East peace, voicing unusually frank frustration with America's longtime ally. In a swiftly issued statement, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused Kerry of bias. He said Israel did not need to be lectured to by foreign leaders and looked forward to working with incoming President-elect Donald Trump, who has vowed to pursue more pro-Israeli policies.

Tuesday at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., while commenting on controversy over the Obama administration’s refusal to call ISIS radical Islamic terrorists, Attorney General Eric went after Fox News Channel for even discussing it. Holder said, “We spend more time, more time, talking about what do you call it, as opposed to what are you going to do about it. I mean really, if Fox News didn’t talk about this, they would have nothing else to talk about, it seems to me. Radical Islam, Islamic extremism, I’m not sure an awful lot is gained by saying it. It...

There’s a reason Republicans have been rushing to try and defund the Affordable Care Act before October 1, when major sections of the law take effect. Republicans know what polls show — that most Americans don’t know what’s in ObamaCare, but when told what the law actually includes, a strong majority support the law. Once state health insurance exchanges take effect, and premiums for all Americans go down, Republicans know the law will only become more popular and harder to repeal. As Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said, “It's a lot harder to undo something than it is to...

And it drew an immediate condemnation from U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, who warned there would be “no place to hide” for anyone who threatens Americans. Well, that’s because they don’t have to hide. One of the scum who is believed to have masterminded the 9-11-12 attack in Libya that killed four Americans isn’t even hiding his love of decadent Western fruity frappes. Another just got released. So yeah, there’s no place to hide. Except, at this point, the entire planet. To date, the Obama government has not retaliated against anyone anywhere for the Benghazi attack. By the way, for...

Featured Term (selected at random):HUMANISM Name originally given to the intellectual, literary, and scientific movements of the fourteenth century through the early sixteenth. Their aim was to base every branch of learning on the culture of classical Greek and Roman antiquity. On its pagan side, it extolled the early non-Christian writers who stressed the full development of human nature, only vaguely interested in life after death. On its Christian side, believing humanists encouraged the free use of the treasures of antiquity without compromising the truths of the Gospel. Christian humanism began with Dante (1265-1321), while pagan humanism reached its peak...

Full article here. Some parts (Washington Post portions indented): As to the administration’s mindset: Civil rights officials from the Bush administration have said that enforcement should be race-neutral. But some officials from the Obama administration, which took office vowing to reinvigorate civil rights enforcement, thought the agency should focus primarily on cases filed on behalf of minorities.“The Voting Rights Act was passed because people like Bull Connor were hitting people like John Lewis, not the other way around,” said one Justice Department official not authorized to speak publicly, referring to the white Alabama police commissioner who cracked down on civil...

The purpose of this website is to tell America that former Obama supporters are no longer proud of their decision. We want everyone to contribute a story of themselves or about someone they know that tells America that they are sorry they voted for Obama.

A mile from South Station, an outpost of US marines in Helmand province, the tribal chief was openly hostile. “The Americans threaten our economy and take our land for bases. They promise much and deliver nothing,” he said. “People here regard the American troops as occupiers,” said Haji Khan, a leader of the Baluch tribe, who rules like a medieval baron. “Young people are turning against them and in time will fight them.” Inside South Station, soldiers are proud of the progress...Until they arrived, this remote part of Helmand had not had a government presence for years. But many are...

President hits town halls as backers prepare new campaignWASHINGTON (MarketWatch) -- President Barack Obama on Friday defended his proposed health-care overhaul before a mostly friendly town-hall crowd in Montana, telling attendees that there's "nothing wrong" with making wealthier Americans partly fund it so poorer residents can be covered."I can't cover another 46 million people for free," Obama said in response to a question about how he and congressional Democrats will pay for setting up a public health-insurance option and insurance exchanges. Obama said about two-thirds of a proposed overhaul can be paid for by eliminating subsidies to insurance companies and...

Stanley Kurtz, who has been dumpster-diving in the Chicago Annenberg Challenge file boxes for a few weeks now, writes today at NRO: It took me a while to put the pieces together, but I think I’ve figured out what’s had the Obama camp so worried about the Chicago Annenberg Challenge records. It goes way beyond Bill Ayers. In fact, it connects the dots between Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, and Obama’s own early radicalism. I lay out the details today in my new piece, “Wright 101.” The gist of what I found is that, from his position as board chair at the...

The Pew Research Center for the People & the Press today released the latest national poll that shows a nip-and-tuck presidential race. Democrat Barack Obama leads Republican John McCain 46 percent to 43 percent among registered voters, barely outside the poll's margin of error. Obama's edge is down from 48 percent to 40 percent in the same poll in June and 47 percent to 42 percent last month. "Two factors appear to be at play in shifting voter sentiment," the pollsters say. "First, McCain is garnering more support from his base - including Republicans and white evangelical Protestants - than...

Crafty Obama playing to the white voters Tuesday, September 11, 2007 3:42 AM I would like to comment on the comment that presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama isn't black enough ("Questioning Obama's blackness is petty," Dispatch Forum column, Sept. 1). I think that his disconnect with the descendants of slaves comes from his desire to show his white supporters how white he can be. When he did his little southern black accent down in Alabama, by which I was personally offended, he was showing his white supporters that he knows how to play the game. I did, however, enjoy his...
