The design of the National Review has changed greatly. Pictures are much bigger and almost fill the screen. I don't like it and prefer Free Republic's cleaner look. I go to political web sites to *read*. What do you think? If enough people grumble maybe they will go back.

he state's attorney report on the horrific murders at the Sandy Hook Elementary School by shooter Adam Lanza found no "conclusive motive" for his actions but did document unsettling facts about the 20-year-old killer, including computer files he kept on the rights of pedophiles, a movie about man/boy love, instant messages concerning "homosexual fantasies," numerous mass murder documents, and a computer game entitled "School Shooting."

So - has anyone in So California heard ANYTHING more about the hit and run driver who drove along Venice Beach? No names released, no age, no color of skin - no nothing. Why does that make me think it was a jihadi end-of-Ramadan 'celebration of death.'???

It’s been almost five months since across-the-board federal spending cuts known as sequestration began kicking in. And since that time, Americans remain largely unsure about the impact of the cuts. More than half of Americans (54 percent) don’t know enough to say whether sequestration was a good thing or a bad thing for the country, according to a new Gallup poll. Americans are even more uncertain about the impact on their own lives. Fifty-nine percent say they don’t know whether it was a good or bad thing for them personally. Those numbers are in line with where they were in...

The following dreck appeared in the opinion section of the July 2nd, 2013 edition of The Miami Herald : *** "With the Supreme Court’s historic rulings on DOMA and Proposition 8, as well as the generational shift on civil marriage equality, it is clear that same-sex marriage will one day be a reality in Florida and the rest of the nation. It’s just a question of time. Until then, religious justifications and definitions of marriage will continue to be used in opposition to civil same-sex marriage. Less than 50 years ago, similar religious and moral justifications for prohibiting civil interracial...

Yesterday, my colleague, Marty Biancuzzo, explained why America is on a path to inevitable economic and government collapse. After reading Marty’s piece, another colleague asked me: What will America look like after a government collapse? It’s an important question, and I want to give a satisfactory answer. But I can’t do that in one short column, so I plan to return to this topic several times over the next few weeks. I hope that when I’m done, you will have a better understanding of where the country is headed. Now, consider our current situation… It’s clear that Barack Obama and...

Up into Zimmerman phoned the prosecutor, it looked like that it was heading to a manslaughter charge and Zimmerman's lawyers dropped him just after the phone call. I'm thinking he told the prosecutor something that allowed her to bump up the charge. Like not heading back to his vehicle or something. That may be why the lawyers dropped him, because Zimmerman made the case for the prosecutor.

February 20th - March 5th Sunday, February 19th, 2012 261 Days until the 2012 General Election First They Came For Wisconsin United Wisconsin's clenched fist tactics threaten to implode the election processes in Wisconsin - and Ohio will be next. Now is the time to take a stand, help conduct the audit of petition signatures for the recall of Gov Scott Walker (a task Wisconsin's government Accountability Board has refused to do) and make sure the Unions don't win by default. We are 77% of the way done with the entry of an estimated 1,000,000+ signature lines, but WE NEED...

Issues: * Santorum Vs Romney. * Birth control. * Nuclear Iran. -- [Lib.] D. Brazil: Over 60% of Republicans like Rick Santorum On ABC 'This Week' with George Stephanopoulos. The same Dianne Brazil who says she's "catholic" defended the Pres. Whereas George Will said: This is what liberalism [and progressives] looks like, to break the [religious] institutions. WashingtonPost's 'Anti War' journalist David Ignatius had to inject his opinions too trying to scare and insist on "negotiations..." Even though he knows that Syria is Islamic-fascist Iran's door to the Arab world, and he knows that Iran is a GENOCIDE threat. George...

We will disagree about candidates and ideas, but I believe the attacks on Newt are unprecedented. The John Birch Society has pulled out all of the stops to attack him. Bill Buckley drummed Birchers out of the movement because their unsubstantiated theories were destroying conservative credibility. Their strange claims are back and they are once again undermining the credibility of the conservative movement. They were co-sponsors of CPAC. This is disturbing because their theories are outrageous and dangerous. They take disparate people, ideas and events and connect them into inexplicable and un-provable webs of intrigue and phobia. As an example,...

Ron Reagan, Jr. is on GMA right now. He is the oddest, most defensive guy. He acts like he's been caught doing something really wrong (which I believe he has by disparaging his father) and is hugely uncomfortable being interviewed. He's definitely in it for the money as I say. He claims he called Nancy the night before and asked her what he should tell them if they ask what she thinks and she said 'tell them I love it, made me cry, blah blah blah'...and I thought she could've gone on to say 'and I could finally get you...
