Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, Police Officer Kim Potter, who fatally shot Black motorist Daunte Wright during traffic stop, has resigned. The 26-year veteran made the move “in the best interest of the community.” Potter, 48, tendered her resignation Tuesday in a brief letter to Brooklyn Center Mayor Mike Elliott and Police Chief Tim Gannon.
