“Marines can carry an all-black, plain, standard or collapsible umbrella at their option during inclement weather with the service and dress uniforms,” according to a new All Marine Corps message, the site reported. Three US Navy members were killed in an apparent double murder-suicide near where two were stationed in Virginia, according to officials. Donavon Moora, 22, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound Saturday night near where two female services members were fatally shot in a Portsmouth 7-Eleven parking lot, the Virginian-Pilot reported. Moora and the two slain women — 19-year-old Shianne Soles and 23-year-old Meaghan Burns — were reportedly all active-duty Navy corpsmen. The relationship among the victims is unclear.

Pfaff says Kelsey Nobles, of Mobile, died Tuesday after collapsing during training at the Navy Recruit Training Center in Great Lakes, Illinois. SAN DIEGO (AP) -- The only woman in the Navy SEAL training pipeline has dropped out, a Navy special warfare official confirmed Friday. The female midshipman voluntarily decided to not continue participating in a summer course that's required of officers who want to be selected for SEAL training, Lt. Cmdr.
