Watching a steady stream of Democrats like Harry Reid, Dick Durbin, and Chuck Schumer each take their turn delightedly pummeling President Bush over the war in Iraq today, I couldn’t help but think of fellow conservatives who are starting to give aid and comfort to these Democrat Party loyal oppositionists. According to Byron York of the National Review, the Republican Party base has simply decided to throw Mr. Bush under the wheels of the bus. Since so many of us disagree with him on things like illegal immigration and Scooter Libby, York opines that a whole bunch of Republican loyalists...

Let's be generous and chalk it up to the early-morning hour. Otherwise we'd have to come down hard on radio host Mike Gallagher, who as a guest on this morning's Fox & Friends Weekend went ga-ga for Barack Obama. It's one thing to acknowledge as did Mike that Obama has appeal as a candidate. But, interviewed by Keran Chetry, it was Gallagher's praise for Obama's substance that shocked, coming as it did from a putative conservative. Said Gallagher: "He's got some pretty solid ideas. He's a moderate." Moderate?? If Mike would check Obama's record, he'd find that in addition to...

On Tuesday's Countdown show, MSNBC host Keith Olbermann fretted about an Oval Office meeting of President Bush and several conservative talk radio hosts -- verbally tagged by Olbermann as "right-wing radio yackers" and labelled on-screen as the "Legion of Doom" -- as the Countdown host contended that Bush was devoting "90 minutes worth of your taxpayer dollars" to the meeting. And in an amusing faux pas, Olbermann's staff, for the second time in less than a year, accidentally displayed a photograph of former liberal Democratic Senator Max Cleland instead of conservative talk radio host Neal Boortz. During the show's opening...

President Bush discussed his policies with conservative radio hosts last month at the White House, including, from left, Mike Gallagher, Neal Boortz, Laura Ingraham, Sean Hannity and Michael Medved. WASHINGTON, Oct. 16 — On an overcast Friday morning last month, White House aides ushered an influential group of conservative radio hosts into the Oval Office for a private audience with the president. For an hour and a half, Mr. Bush discussed his case for the war in Iraq, his immigration proposals and even the personality of his Scottish terrier Barney, who scratched on the door during the session until the...

The Westboro Baptist Church planned to protest the funerals of the Amish school children. Shirley Phelps-Roper and Mike have agreed that the church will not protest at the funerals in exchange for an hour of airtime--Oct. 5th at 10am est--on the Mike Gallagher Show.

President Bush told a group of radio talk show hosts that the war on terror must be framed in terms of values, not religion. Coulter found herself in the uncharacteristic position of being upstaged by her introducer, Mike Gallagher. He told the audience he was fresh back from an hour-and-45-minute session which President Bush held in the Oval Office Friday afternoon with him and four other conservative talk show hosts: Atlanta’s Neal Boortz, Laura Ingraham, Sean Hannity and Michael Medved. Rush Limbaugh couldn’t make it, he said. Though he said this session was supposed to be off the record, Gallagher...

Racism, bigotry and discrimination have been completely eliminated in the United States of America. There is no more racial injustice to be found. Because when the FBI is summoned to a small town in Louisiana to investigate an allegation of a school bus driver making black children ride in the back of the bus, there must be no serious instances of race-related problems left. I’ll spare you all the specific details of this preposterous situation. I can sum up what happened, based on numerous news reports, in one sentence: a white female veteran school bus driver told some black students...

by Mark Finkelstein June 19, 2006 - 06:32. To paraphrase Jeff Foxworthy: if you're an American who wants marriage to be reserved exclusively for one man and one woman . . . you might be a yahoo! Don't believe me? Ask liberal Newsday columnist Ellis Henican. He appeared on Fox & Friends First this morning to debate radio talk show host Mike Gallagher on a variety of topics, including the Democrats' recently announced six-point plan to be implemented should they take back the House in the November elections. Gallagher argued that this was something the Dems cooked up on the...

To update on the CFIR rally on April 8, it seems that some corporate bigwigs are throwing their weight around trying stifle any attempt at a significant rally to close our borders, at least when it comes to allowing their on-air assets to take part. I just got this e-mail from CFIR Dallas: Friends, Mike Gallagher, KSKY, 660am, 6-9a.m., has had to put aside his plan to hold a protest on April 8th. The reason: The companies who own the other stations would not allow their talk show hosts to take part. Gallagher feels that he would need help from...

This woman has a right as an American Citizen to protest and demand answers for the loss of her son. If you support the troops so much, why don't you encourage your listeners to enlist instead of trashing a woman. There are more mothers coming. Are you going to continue to trash and harass those mothers...

Who would have ever thought that organizing a trip to Crawford, Texas, would result in someone writing me hoping that my wife gets cancer and dies and my sons are killed in a terrible accident? That sentiment was fairly typical of the hundreds of e-mails we've received after our bus trip to Crawford Friday night to show support for President Bush and the soldiers fighting the war on terror. Evidently, our little adventure has touched a raw nerve in the fierce anti-war crowd. Story Continues Below First Name: E-mail Address: As I understand it, our Friday night trip to Crawford...

CRAWFORD, Texas - More than 100 supporters of President Bush held a rally Friday night across the road from the makeshift campsite of anti-war demonstrators, but authorities kept the groups separated and there was little confrontation. Many of the Bush supporters rode on a bus from Dallas in a trip organized by nationally syndicated conservative radio talk show host Mike Gallagher. They said they wanted to counter the war protest, started last weekend by a grieving mother who set up camp on the road leading to Bush's ranch. At first, the 100 or so war protesters held a 40-foot banner...

In Surrounded by Idiots, Mike Gallagher, one of the top radio talk show hosts in America, takes us to the front lines of the unprecedented cultural and political war confronting all decent Americans. The 2004 election was a watershed moment in our nation's history, and while it was shocking to the left to see so many red states on the electoral map, to conservatives it was just an affirmation of what they'd known all along – conservatives are the mainstream and liberals are the fringe. It is not the time to rest or take things for granted, Mike Gallagher argues....

Radio talkshow host Mike Gallagher today announced he had inked a marketing deal with the so-called "blogosphere" to provide advertising and promotion for his national program. Under the terms of the deal, Mr. Gallagher, who has been hailed as "America's second-string talk radio host," will provide the blogosphere with "derision and ridicule in exchange for links to his website, and viral buzz generation." "It's a win-win," said Mr. Gallagher. "I get audience growth and more ad revenues, and the geeky losers in their basements get to crank out more illegitimate junk on their computers."
