The picture was posted via Twitter by Serhiy Bolvinov, head of the investigative branch of the National Security Service in the Kharkiv region. ‘Defense of Ukraine‘, the official Twitter of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, wrote in a Tweet: “A torture chamber in Pisky-Radkivsky. Two photos. A gas mask placed on the head of a victim who was covered with a smoldering rag and buried alive. And a box of gold dental crowns. A mini-Auschwitz.” Here’s the original Tweet by Serhiy Bolvinov with some additional objects found onsite:

Ukrainian authorities have found a mass grave in the recently liberated eastern town of Lyman and it is unclear how many bodies it holds, regional governor Pavlo Kyrylenko said in an online post on Friday. Separately, the Ukrinform news agency cited a senior police official as saying the grave contained 180 bodies. Ukrainian troops retook Lyman, in the Donetsk region, from Russian control on Saturday. Ukrainian authorities have regularly accused Russian troops of committing atrocities in occupied territories, a charge Moscow denies.

After the defeat of the Islamic State (ISIS), Iraqi forensic teams continue searching for the remains of the many victims of the terrorist group in the country. The Mass Graves Protection Department recently announced the completion of the exhumation of the Qeni mass grave in Shigur (Shengal or Sinjar), which contained the remains of Yezidi victims who were killed by ISIS. The grave was opened in the presence of department head Abdullah al-Naili and with the support of the United Nations Investigative Team for Accountability of Da’esh/ISIL (UNITAD). All the exhumed remains were handed over to the Forensic Medicine Department...

Primo Levi, a Holocaust survivor of Italian origin who led a distinguished life, was at the Auschwitz concentration camp hospital one day due to high fever caused by an infectious disease. He later wrote in his memoirs that when confronted with Soviet soldiers: "They neither greeted nor smiled; they seemed to be tormented by the guilt of why this crime had to happen." The trial of one of the perpetrators of another heinous crime, the massacre of 30,000 Iranian political prisoners in 1988, is currently taking place in a Swedish court. What happened in 1988 was a ruthless, bloody, and...

A Russian historian whose exposure of Soviet leader Josef Stalin's crimes angered state officials is due to begin enforced psychiatric testing this week amid fears he will be falsely declared insane, his lawyer said on Tuesday. Yuri Dmitriev, 61, is on trial in northwest Russia on charges brought by state prosecutors of involving his adopted daughter, then 11, in child pornography, of illegally possessing "the main elements of" a firearm, and of depravity involving a minor. Some of Russia's leading cultural figures say Dmitriev was framed because his focus on Stalin's crimes - he found a mass grave with up...

“What we are seeing are scenes from a horror movie." Those words came from Artur Virgilio, the mayor of Manaus, about the coronavirus crisis developing in the middle of the Amazon rainforest in northern Brazil. The city had a record number of burials in April -- about 100 a day, or triple the average -- forcing authorities to do many en masse in improvised cemeteries. “We aren’t in a state of emergency. We are in a state of utter disaster, like a country that is at war but has already lost," Virgilio said. The city's public health system has already...

Yesterday images have emerged of coffins being buried in a “mass grave” in New York City. Workers in hazmat outfits were seen stacking wooden coffins in deep trenches in Hart Island. New York City officials have hired contract laborers to bury the dead in its potter’s field on Hart Island. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FwP1LWMKOGo&feature=emb_title These images shown are of Potter’s Field where 24 people are buried a week in normal times. But the mainstream media tried to add more panic and pressure on the American citizens! Today another so-called “mass grave” has emerged in London. The plots, which are 10 meters long and...
  • Crime Scene: Evidence of Mass Graves in Kadugli, Sudan

    All Africa ^ | July 14, 2011 | Satellite Sentinel Project
Satellite Sentinel Project (SSP) has found evidence consistent with allegations that the Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) and Government of Sudan-aligned (GoS) militias have apparently engaged in a campaign of systematic mass killing of civilians in Kadugli, South Kordofan. Under the Rome Statute and other international humanitarian law, the systematic killing of civilians in peace or war by their own government can constitute crimes against humanity. Based on an analysis of DigitalGlobe satellite imagery and eyewitness reports obtained by the Satellite Sentinel Project, SSP has identified a site consistent with mass graves in Kadugli. SSP has found evidence corroborating at least...

Although Sudanese president Omar Hassan Ahmed Bashir meets more than all of the requirements that qualified Libya's Muammar Gaddafi for regime change -- the U.S. has shown an alarming amount of empathy for the oppressor and his cabal in Khartoum. In fact, Gaddafi's sins pale in comparison to those of Bashir, whose transgressions were concisely enumerated by Doyle McManus in the L.A. Times on Tuesday. Because of his role as the architect of the Darfur genocide -- a campaign which claimed over 300,000 lives -- Bashir became the first sitting head of state indicted for war crimes by the International...

“One Thousand Killed in 5 days of Fierce Street Fighting!” read a New York Times headline on Jan 4, 1959. The fake news headline dealt with the (utterly bogus) “battle” of Santa Clara in central Cuba where Ernesto “Che” Guevara earned much of his enduring (and totally bogus) martial fame. “Commander Che Guevara appealed to Batista troops for a truce to clear the streets of casualties,” continues the breathless The New York Times article. “Guevara turned the tide in this bloody battle and whipped a Batista force of 3,000 men!”A year later, Che’s own diaries revealed that his forces (which actually numbered...
  • It seems that cemeteries are going to use up all the land

I keep thinking about the fact that everywhere you go, there are cemeteries. As we get more and more populated with people, more and more people will die. Eventually, I'm concerned that there will be so many dead people that we will run out of space to bury them and that they will then have to start tearing down houses of living people in order to find room to bury the dead. This might not happen in my lifetime but if it doesn't, I'll become part of the problem because they will have to find a spot to bury me....

Iraqi paramilitary forces announced Saturday that they had discovered a mass grave at Badush prison near Mosul containing the remains of hundreds of people executed by ISIS. ISIS reportedly killed up to 600 people after seizing the jail in 2014, and was also said to have held hundreds of kidnapped women from Iraq’s Yazidi minority at the facility. The Iraqi military said that forces from the Hashed al-Shaabi -- an umbrella group of pro-government forces that are dominated by Iran-backed Shiite militias -- were among the units that recaptured the prison from the extremists.

The Russian Defense Ministry says its troops have found mass graves in Aleppo with bodies showing signs of torture and mutilation. In Aleppo, Christians celebrated Christmas for the first time in four years with the country's largest city now under full control of government forces. Christians, one of the largest religious minorities at about 10 percent of Syria's pre-war 23 million-strong population, have tried to stay on the sidelines of the conflict. However, the opposition's increasingly outspoken Islamism has kept many leaning toward Assad's government.

Mexican authorities say an investigation that began with an anonymous tip about kidnappings led to a grisly find: 32 bodies and nine severed heads. The remains had been buried in hidden graves in a remote, mountainous area of Guerrero state, a hotbed of drug-related violence. The victims and suspects have not yet been identified, state officials said in a statement Thursday. Authorities are still combing the area to see whether there are more hidden graves at the site, the statement said. The investigation began earlier this week after authorities, acting on a tip, found a man who'd been kidnapped and...

KUWAIT CITY -- Kuwaiti prosecutors have drawn up a list of charges against ousted Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein and hundreds of his officials for alleged war crimes committed during Iraq's occupation of the Gulf nation, the prosecutor general said Wednesday. The list will be delivered to the Iraqi court that will try Saddam and other former regime members and the new charges will be added to the existing allegations, prosecutor general Hamed al-Othman said, according to the state-owned Kuwait News Agency. Saddam, who was captured in December 2003, already faces charges in Iraq that include killing rival politicians during his...

In a waist-high trench alongside Spain’s national Highway 1, a dozen volunteers wearing rubber gloves brush tan clay from crumbling human bones. Their knees rest on foam cushions, and a white tent shades them from the summer sun. It’s July 2011—a full 75 summers after Spain erupted in the Civil War that put the bones of 59 civilians in the ground here. A few steps away from the trench, volunteers hold microphones up to the murmuring mouths of elders from the town of Gumiel de Izán, in the north-central region of Castilla y León. The elders, who harbor memories of...

As the world prayed for Paris, more than three thousand miles east another atrocity was being uncovered in Iraq - two mass graves containing the bodies of older Yazidi women. Sophy Ridge explains why we can't ignore them In the desert dust of Sinjar, in north west Iraq, a walking stick lies on the ground. Strewn casually alongside it are a couple of pairs of scissors, some household keys and a shoe. Bank notes flutter in the dirt. But, if you look a little closer, the scene becomes a horror show. Clumps of hair and fragments of bone poke grotesquely...

MEXICO CITY – Mexico's attorney general says authorities have found at least 60 mass graves with 129 bodies in the southern city of Iguala since the disappearance of 43 college students there last September, a case in which the government says the youths were killed and incinerated. The attorney general's office says the number of bodies found from October to May could be more, because it is counting only those instances in which its mass grave specialists get involved. Iguala is a municipality of 120,000 people 200 kilometers (160 miles) south of Mexico City. A confrontation between students and police...

Which to you is better: baptizing a baby brought to you by good RC parents, that God knows will grow up to deny your faith and be a hell-raiser, or one that asas no one there with him/her or born out ofof wedlock to lapsed parents that God knows will turn out to be righteous?.
