Martin Landau died a week ago at the age of 89. He was a versatile actor who connected less often than he should have with the perfect part, but, when he did, there was none better. In the late Sixties, he was a TV fixture on "Mission: Impossible", playing the most watchable character Rollin Hand, a master of disguise who could pass himself off as almost anyone. It was a fun role for Landau, and created for him (the name of the part in early scripts was "Martin Land") and his particular talents: half the time, to make it even...
  • TV Land Aired a documentary on Elections from the 1970's

I am trying to identify the title of a documentary that aired on TV Land back in 1994 during the election for President. The documentary was about how Hollywood actors are influenced by the voting process and their influence on the candidates. They had cameos of different actors, especially Martin Landau and Barbara Bain when they were still married. Does anyone remember the title of this documentary movie from the early 1970's ? It was in color, not black and white like Primary.

"Nevada Smith"-classic western starring one of my favorite movie cowboys, the legendary Steve McQueen is on Turner Classic Movies today at 12:00 PM EST. Co-starring Brian Keith as his foster father, Karl Malden, Martin Landau, Arthur Kennedy as his adversaries, Raf Vallone as a compassionate and wise priest and the late and lovely Suzanne Pleshette(in one of her best performances as the smoky voiced Cajun named Pilar), Janet Margolin and Joanna Moore(in an unbilled part) as the women in his life. Directed by Henry Hathaway("The Sons of Katie Elder") and a great score by Alfred Newman. Definitely worth catching if...
