What's fat and white and still doesn't know it's all over? Michael Moore. Yes, the hairy, four-eyed, film-hustling freak has yet to accept the will of the American people and President Bush's re-election. That's right; "Shamoo with a camera" is still out there bashing America and the War on Terrorism. His latest attempt: promoting a global day of protest on the two-year anniversary of the Iraq invasion. This time Michael Moore is eating (I mean, teaming) with an organization called United for Peace and Justice. The global day of protest is set for Saturday, March 19th and calls for vigils,...

As I was perusing the Duelfer report I found this timeline chart very interesting in understanding what happened when and who did what. And since some may not have seen the report I took the time to make this up. I've bolded a few things but other than that, and my finial addition, this is taken directly from V1 pdf page 435 of the Duelfer report. Please feel free to comment on things noted here or add additional information that fits in this timeline concerning the ramp up to OIF and what Nations in the UN were doing to work...

On the weekend of March 19-20, the U.S. government will once again be facing worldwide protests against the illegal and brutal occupation of Iraq. In New York City, activists from various communities and struggles have formed a vibrant coalition to stop the war at home and abroad. The Troops Out Now Coalition will be marching on March 19 from Harlem to Central Park and then on to Mayor Michael Bloomberg's residence. Its literature explains: "We call this movement 'OUT NOW' because these two simple words convey the absolute zero tolerance for the occupation of Iraq that must drive our organizing...

Today is a special day. It’s the 75-year anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi’s famous “salt march.” On March 12, 1930, Gandhi began a 240-mile march to nonviolently resist the British tax on salt and move India closer to independence from British rule. Gandhi changed India and the world, with his relentless, nonviolent struggle for peace and justice. (For more on Gandhi’s life, click here.)Today is also important because it begins our 7-day countdown to the March 19 worldwide day of protest against the Iraq war. Next Saturday, people throughout the world will raise our voices on the two-year anniversary of the US...

The North Carolina chapter of the Free Republic is holding a counter protest. The group will be across the street from the peace demonstrators. The Free Republic was one of three groups to hold counter-demonstrations at last year's peace rally. They claim it's important to have a presence there that day. Lynn Huber said, "We want people to know that these anti-war protests do not represent the will of the American people. They do not represent common sense. And they do not make sense for American victory." The picket permit filed by the Free Republic estimates they will have between...

Will there be an anti-war protest in Denver on March 19 and 20, 2005? - the anniversary of Operation Iraqi Freedom - If there will be, I am willing to plan a FR counter-protest for Saturday the 19th. The main thing I want to do is publically replay Colin Powell's U.N. presentation on Iraq from a 24 inch TV and loud speakers from my car. Any other demonstration ideas are welcome. Please write me at FR, or contact me from my web site www.conservativeimage.com to notify me that you would like to participate. If I don't get enough response, I'll...

ST. JOSEPH Charles L. Souvay Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary and foster-father of Our Lord Jesus Christ. The chief sources of information on the life of St. Joseph are the first chapters of our first and third Gospels; they are practically also the only reliable sources, for, whilst, on the holy patriarch's life, as on many other points connected with the Saviour's history which are left untouched by the canonical writings, the apocryphal literature is full of details, the non-admittance of these works into the Canon of the Sacred Books casts a strong suspicion upon their contents; and, even...
