<title>BOMBSHELL: KOAT Lands CBS + Keeps ABC - KRQE Faces a Brutal New Reality (ABQ New Mexico stations)</title>
<link>https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/4389128/posts</link>
<description>BREAKING: KRQE has lost the CBS affiliation after 72 years &#x26;#x2014; and it&#x26;#x27;s moving to KOAT, making Channel 7 the undisputed juggernaut of New Mexico television. Mark Ronchetti spent 15+ years at KRQE and also worked at KOAT. Sources in both buildings. Nobody else can break this down from the inside. CBS told Nexstar the money wasn&#x26;#x27;t enough. Hearst stepped up and wrote the check. Now KOAT holds BOTH major networks &#x26;#x2014; and KRQE goes independent. Is one station holding both major networks good for New Mexico &#x26;#x2014; or a consolidation problem nobody&#x26;#x27;s talking about?</description>
