The Kim Jong-Il regime in North Korea is moving closer to appointing Kim's son as the new dictator by preparing official portraits of Kim Jong-Un. The Daily NK, which boasts of having sources and communications with people inside the totalitarian state, reported March 15 that authorities in Pyongyang are preparing to distribute portraits of Kim Jong-Un, Kim's youngest son. Some analysts have interpreted the portrait preparations as a further sign in the decline of Kim's health. The leader suffered a stroke last year but U.S. intelligence analysts said he appeared to have recovered after treatment by foreign doctors. Lee Young...
  • Is this a RACIST joke?

The following joke was posted on Yahoo yesterday: Q: Why is Obama going to let the North Korean missile hit Hawaii? A: Because then he can say that THEY destroyed his Birth Certificate! LOL. Upon posting, comments were made that this was a racist effing joke, that the poster was a racist mother-effer, and that he should get the eff off Yahoo. I saw no racial component to the joke at all, and it was WAY funnier than David Letterman's about Sarah Palin's daughter. What do YOU all think?
  • North Korea Fires Prime Minister

North Korea abruptly fired Prime Minister Pak Pong Ju. While the reason for the dismissal has not been disclosed, observers note that Pak’s dozing during a musical performance praising Kim’s leadership with the songs “Love of Comrades” and “Always looking up to the Leader” was the “final straw.” Kim is especially fond of these tributes. Pak reputedly has been in the “dog house” since Kim discovered that Pak’s suggested name for the nation’s intercontinental missile—the “No Dong”—caused a “loss of face.” “Falling asleep during a ritual homage to Kim would’ve been bad enough,” said Alexander R. Vershbow, U.S. Ambassador to...

With the Democrats' full-throated moralizing of late, I'm almost tempted to vote for them — although perhaps "full-throated" is the wrong phrase to use with regard to Democrats and sex scandals. The sudden emergence of the Swift Butt Veterans for Truth demonstrates that the Democrats would prefer to talk about anything other than national security. Unfortunately for them, the psychotic Kim Jong Il seems to be setting off nukes, raising the embarrassing issue of the Clinton administration's 1994 "peace" deal with North Korea. At least with former Rep. Mark Foley, you could say the Democrats' hypocritical grandstanding was just politics....
  • A Nuclear North Korea (Its Time For President Bush To Get Tough With NK Commies Alert)

I don't want to sound alarmist here, but North Korea has just conducted its first nuclear weapons test. This is not good. Imagine Adolf Hitler with a nuclear weapon. That would be the moral equivalent of Kim Jong-il with one. There is no difference. Kim is a mass murderer, possibly on the scale of Hitler. The only difference, so far, is that Kim has killed millions of his own people through starvation, forced labor camps and executions – more in the style of Josef Stalin. But Kim's dream, like his Stalinist father's, remains reunification of his country through military force....

Korean Educational Books Publishing in 2005(Juche 94)  Kids studying so-called "Slogan Tree." (my note: N. Koreans are taught that Kim Il-sung carved trees all over the country in order to encourage people to rise up against Japanese oppression. It is a sheer fabrication cooked up for their propaganda.) The text says, "Elder sister tells us one at a time. She tells us, while pointing at a Slogan Tree." The slogan on the tree says, "Long...
  • The Real Threat From North Korea

The same North Korean ICBM efforts that throw a rock at Alaska can throw a large nuclear warhead at every ally the United States has in Northeast Asia. Japan and South Korea are not only close allies, they are critical trading partners. The risk of a war in this part of the world would inevitably threaten Chinese involvement in some form, and possible bloc trade with much of China for an extended period even if China did not become involved. Our troops and our bases in most of Asia would be at hazard as well. Americans need to stop thinking...

When it became clear that the Taepodong 2 missile North Korea test-launched early on July 4 had broken up less than a minute into flight and plunged into the Sea of Japan, many Americans felt a sense of relief. After all, the missile — belonging to a class that is thought capable of reaching the U.S. mainland — had failed, and Kim Jong Il had been embarrassed in the eyes of the world, if not those of the North Koreans who were told nothing of the test’s outcome. But an embarrassed menace is a menace nonetheless. Despite North Korea’s failure...

Russian official predicts 'catastrophic' events April 24 2003 A top Russian Foreign Ministry official was quoted as saying yesterday in Tokyo that a "catastrophic" development of events in the US-North Korean nuclear standoff was imminent and could occur within the next day. "It is probable that, as early as tomorrow, there will be a catastrophic development of events," Itar-Tass quoted Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Losyukov as saying. He added that the standoff had "reached an extreme stage" but did not give a more detailed explanation about his warning. Losyukov holds the Asian affairs brief in the ministry. His comments came...

NewsMax.com's religion editor Fr. Mike Reilly has the latest on the bizarre behavior of North Korean dictator Kim Jong Il. If you thought King Herod was bad in slaughtering the Holy Innocents, wait till you hear what Kim Il Jong has been up to lately. Australia's Herald Sun is reporting that the North Korean dictator is seizing all triplets and placing them in orphanages, because he believes that a triplet is destined to overthrow his regime. North Korea’s official reason for the policy is to help impoverished parents care for their children. "Triplets are supplied by the state free of...

SEOUL (AFP) - North Korea said it was postponing planned economic cooperation and maritime talks with South Korea because of Seoul's military alert posture during the Iraqi war, the South's Yonhap news agency said. North Korea's chief delegate to the inter-Korean economic cooperation committee, Pak Chang-Ryon, said in a statement that the North had to postpone indefinitely the economic talks and maritime talks, Yonhap said, quoting Pyongyang radio. The talks were to have taken place in Pyongyang next week. "We have to admit that the talks... have to be postponed as a dialogue partner keeps sabre-rattling toward its counterpart," the...
